My 2007 Mustang GT Premium with a manual transmission is a sports car and a very nice one at that. It even handles & stops, unlike most 1960's Muscle Cars. Getting it in near mint condition for $18k during the pandemic with only 13k miles on it is entry level for a good used car...

Of course the Mustang GT is a Sports Car. My 2007 GT Premium is a sports car, and even has three pedals as I never have bought an automatic. It handles well, stops well and is faster than 95% of the cars on the road.

If you live were the washboard roads are gravel / dirt and it snows then owning a Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator is an excellent car for that. Keep in mind that a lot of those people have a summer car that is more civilized, but put it away for at least four months a year...
