And you guys complain about the BMW drivers... The guy in the background behaved himself.
Have to agree; the original looks much better in person. If the same thing happens with the Sport Tourismo though... It already looks good in pictures, so it should be perfect in the flesh.
What would I drive if I were to be stuck in a car for hours at a time? My car, naturally. '88 735i/5-spd.
The only people who like fold-flat seating are those who never ride for any distance on fold-flat seating. They compromise comfort for utility; the only thing they are good for is short trips or kids in car seats.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict that whoever ends up purchasing this fine vehicle won't live in San Francisco.
That's MR. Murilee Martin — SIR — to you, son. :scoff:
Yup, because it's ONLY BMW drivers that do this. [rolls_eyes]
I'd pass on both of the cited examples in favor of the '01 I bought for my wife a few weeks ago; 3.0 with a 5-speed. The I6/manual combination knock most of the X5 problem areas off the checklist. And for a lot less $$$ than either of these machines.

That's an awesome story. Thanks!
The Yeep? Love it!
"A hero is a sandwich." What a great guy!
Given what you said about your experience with an ///M car, one can only conclude that you are the kind of BMW M5 owner that gives the others a bad name; drive it like you stole it then hand over your wallet to the dealer service department to let them piece it back together.
jeez... All that just trying to get out of the parking spot?
Nasty, but the outcome would've been much different had Mr. Daisy Duke Delay had tangled with the mighty BEER!
They all look alike these days. It was probably stolen as well.
I spent some time in Germany last year (and will again later this week!) and Lufthoon speaks truth; during the week the trucks on the autobahn can be a pain, especially on the two-lane areas of the autobahn. The trucks can't go over 100kph (I think) but some go slightly slower than that, and get passed by other…
