Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean everyone isn't out to get you.
The guy in the front of a fifteen vehicle chain is gonna be pi$$ed off when he figures out what's going on. "How the heck did I end up with 10mpg in a Prius?!?!?"
@TheAstronot: A nice red heart clicky for that. Thanks for the chuckle!
@tяs: Knew that, and as Armand so correctly pointed out, they sucked. The TR7 was bad, and with double the cylinder count, the TR8 was twice as bad.
The TR8... First time I saw one of them my first thought was Triumph missed an opportunity by failing to build a TR6 with the Rover V8. I still think that'd be an awesome combination. I'd put up with a lot of electrical gremlins for that.
@thunder; now eta-powered: Drat. Where'd that stinkin' Preview button go?
An ops center I used to work in had a cool award hanging on the wall; the Brass Balls Award was given to the pilot who displayed, well, the balls-iest in-flight maneuver. Very classy looking item, with a walnut plaque festooned with a pair of real machined brass balls hanging from a brass chain. I always thought that…
@Laxfalcon246: Ditto. With the Stig at the wheel.
Wow; that's a tough one. But I'm a big guy, and the Freighter looks bigger than the Matador, so the decision is made.
@engineerd should be known as RetardeD: And don't forget to figure in a few bucks for the goat that needs to be sacrificed. Oh wait... never mind. You're already erasing the Lucas bits from it.
From the time when they made pickups for real work. Simple, rugged, easy to clean, easy to repair... Just the way any good tool ought to be built.
@engineerd over 200 served: Can I ride in your suitcase? I promise to be quiet.
That reminds me of the time I got broadsided by some kid on a BMX bike with no brakes. I saw him rolling too fast down a hill toward the street I was on, dragging his feet trying to stop. I was going 25-30, hit the brakes & came to a quick stop, but he managed to steer right into the side of my car. I can still see…
Meh. I used to have a Nova that drove kinda sideways like that too, but the tires sure didn't smoke that badly.
@JawzX2: That's ok, because there's virtually zero chance the thing will ever touch a street or highway.
Gorgeous. The only flaw I see is with the cockpit; where do you put the girl? Tack weld a b!tch seat & footpegs just forward of the exhaust? Hang on, baby!
@PatFromGundo: Awesome. Another ♥-click for you, and a second on the COTD.
@Turbo Driver: Yes! The SSP's were great, especially out on the driveway with a cardboard ramp. The challenge was to jump over the Kingswood station wagon; great fun until i misjudged angles & distances and wedged it into the grille. Dad wasn't happy.
