Riften? I would have thought Markath, what with all the vintage Dwemer fixtures just laying around waiting to be restored and the independent-minded indigenous people with their obviously hand-made clothing (altho' they really should consider switching away from animal-based materials).

Yes, we're all stupid for linking an EA username to a gamertag even tho' it's more or less required for things like Dragon Age and Mass Effect. Go polish your hate-on and come back when you've soothed yourself.

That would explain a lot, since I certainly never got hit with an XBox Live phish, and the only time I've ever entered my XBoxLive details to get free points was when Bing.com was running a survey/promotion deal.

Ugh. What's a "traditional" MMO - most people would think WoW, genre fans would think UO or EQ1, you just condescended to an entire genre without providing any useful information. If you're not a "traditional" MMO fan, and you're playing something that's no longer a "traditional" RTS, then who the hell is this

So any show which starts off with an uber-obscure Doctor Who shoutout (the "I don't have to outrun the bear" joke is straight out of "Survival" episode 1, except it was a lion) is off to a great start.

"You're still missing the point."

Christ, what an asshole.

You don't believe ... what? That people who say things like "Besides i'm pretty sure the definition of retard and faggot have blurred so much at this point, they are no longer targeted at a group" who use those words, then get criticized by members of the group they just dismissed, are speaking from a position of

As long as it gets a little more feature-rich; charging PC users for XBox Live Gold to get demos the same day that they can download from the publisher's own site may not go over well.

You realize they're not killing it, right? They're just borg-ing www.gamesforwindows.com into www.xbox.com, there's no other difference.

Never had a problem with it. GfWL doesn't work as well on Windows as XBL/XBDashboard works on the 360, tho', and it seems like nobody at MS was willing to devote time/money to figuring out how to make it better.

"Everybody" didn't hate it, and I think it's safe to assume that everybody who did hate it could have hated it for different reasons, so (again, safe to assume) that's not worthy of scrutiny.

I dunno, the GfWL patching isn't any worse than the XBox Live (or, from what I've seen, PSN) patching. If you only have one GfWL game which you only play once ever few months, I guess the load-time for GfWL itself is probably pretty annoying - but if you have several games, it's not like you're reinstalling GfWL

Um... what? No, really - about what are you speaking, to whom are you speaking? You're really angry for what is, factually, a domain-name change ("www.gamesforwindows.com" will now be found at "www.xbox.com").

Yeah, it's not like anyone I've ever spoken to has a huge nostalgic attachment to GfWL'sM anyway.

I don't think the achieve-linking is going away; I'm almost positive the core functionality isn't going away; hell, the "Games for Windows Live" logo might not even go away. Just the domain - and hopefully the hideously unfluid name "Games for Windows Live - Marketplace" - is going away, tucked up into xbox.com

He's mimicking a battered wife. I'd just like to remind everyone that Microsoft, compared to Apple at least, *is* serious about PC gaming. Google +"Gabe Newell" +Apple, or just read this:

Um, yeah, most corporations are in it for the money. If you don't like it, look at the indie market; sure, no big-box games like HALO:Reach, but lots of awesome games that are still fun to play.

Yes, fuck those immature fuckers in the fuckening. I don't want contamination in the brand I use to define my existence. Uh, I mean "I don't need any of your wack General Mills shit in my Kelloggs' Corn Flakes!" Oh hell, I'm lost.
