how that would enrage the purists exactly? The Celica was born RWD, i don’t see why that would be a problem

As a fellow Gen-Xer, I’m not sure what to make of woman who aren’t rolling around on the hood of a XJR. I mean, are they even female?

I take issue with the idea of millennials or GenZ killing” or “saving” industries. What is killing the automotive industry (and dairy, jewelry, etc) is capitalism. The tenets of capitalism keep wages low, but raise prices as high as they will go for max profit. Over decades, this philosophy prices younger people out

Interesting post.... Out of curiosity, was that just engineers ON SITE or just in Highland Park and Toledo and expanded Detroit? Or, could you really get insight on how, say, Twin Air’s boost controllers worked under certain conditions from engineers in Italy?

I do have an engineering degree. And I like cars. For the rest of the things that I can’t cover with those two facts I have no problem just making something up.

But worse than the normal-grilled Canyon.

That is a low bar to clear...

Thank you! I’m happy you enjoyed it.

That was a good, well researched story.  Thanks

- Same horsepower as a current WRX in a car that weighs 450+ pounds less

wrx base IS around 25k new.

So wait, Subaru becomes more and more humdrum by the year and Toyota starts making the fun cars?

I’m speechless, but with 36,895 comments, I haven’t always been speechless.  This post is the best prize ever!  Thanks so much, Andrew!

By the time I read everything, only about half of the car pictures had loaded, but 13(!) individual ads loaded for a pretty fancy woodchipper. So I am left thinking that a woodchipper was the most important thing of the last 15 years.

I traded in my 2010 WRX for a 2014 BRZ in October of 2014, the BRZ is a better driver’s car by a wide margin. The only thing the WRX did better was accelerate and carry people.

I read finish BMW rebuild and daily drive it and thought “good luck you crazy bastard”. Then I saw the 850 bit and thought “crazy masochist”. Then I saw the 1st gen green on tan Viper bit and thought “crazy masochist with taste”.

Apologies ahead, Andrew - this is a long one.
