“Mein Gott, muss das sein / My god, does it have to be!”

I think how much you spend on the vehicle is highly, highly dependent upon what other expenses you have. If you make $100k/yr but you own your house/condo, have no student loan debt, and have some money in the bank then go right ahead and buy a $70k car.

Interesting...I rarely hear people use that term with sincerity, but then I’m in Texas where our seasons are Hot, Damn Hot, Truck Month, Football, and that one week we have to wear a coat.

this is a poor take. I mean if youre living in a city and not going anywhere in the winter, sure, i guess? I go to the mountains regularly and on forest roads and whatnot and snows >> all seasons in a big way.

ok boomer

People who want an M2? <shrug>

Like FK would have a vehicle registered in her own name. Obviously it’s owned by a shell company that’s operated out of a dummy office in a foreign company and registered to an empty apartment elsewhere.

I think the problem here is that you can’t actually market this thing to people who don’t know about cars. There’s no wool-pulling. It’s not like the Urus (I finally have an excuse to drive a Lambo!) or some heritage-laden tweedmobile (Careful with the Jag, darling).

Lots of car names became famous to normies for

Get rid of these damned autoplay videos with sound!

Generally speaking, it’s because for a given use case, the pushrod engine will have a higher displacement. The 5.0 Coyote in a Mustang is pitted against the 6.2 LS3. Obviously the LS3 is making more power at low RPMs, it’s got 25% more displacement! Compare the Coyote to a pushrod engine of similar displacement:

Leave it to Jalopnik to cry out for buttons when their isnt any, and explode when theres too many... w/e

It’s important to note that there’s a big difference between not celebrating her and her life (which absolutely deserve celebrating) and not celebrating how she died. As long as no one comes in here with that stupid “better live a day as a lion” nonsense I’m perfectly content to celebrate her life, the fact that she

He kind of did if you read the last paragraph in full, the parts were only $675. He did it in 5 hours so he factored $215/hr of shop time (reasonable number). Even if it was only the parts cost, they are rarely only 10% of the repair cost unless it's a huge engine and transmission removal job.

Yes, absolutely. Unless I don’t know the person or they’ve previously given me reason not to trust them I’m more than happy to let someone drive my cars, and depending on the person and circumstance even borrow the car. There have probably been a couple dozen people behind the wheel of my Outback in the five years

No, please be stupid with gasoline.

Let’s thin the herd a bit.

If you can’t admire - shit, or just not get angry at - someone else’s desire to build something different, maybe just for the fun of it, then you’re a closed-minded asshat.

I’m working on an active rear wing for my miata autocross car that uses load sensors in the shock towers to reach a targeted amount of downforce and also pops up under braking, powered by a rasberry pi.   The car will still be slow.  Lol.

Frankenbuilds are fun for the builder and a nightmare for anyone who ends up with it after that.  I should know - I have one in my garage that I didn’t build.

350km, much cleaner number.
