And also because of the case that women usually (not always, but definitely usually) do the majority of wedding planning. You have to be into something if you're investing that much time and energy putting it together. Women might also be distracted from getting self doubt and cold feet just because they are so busy

I hope they find whatever is wrong and it turns out to be manageable with the right combo of meds and/or diet. I'm sure he is in good hands. xox

After this video, there will be many young eligible cat ladies queuing out the door.

You had me at "man apologizes to cat".

Yeah, but because of the inherent power imbalance between men and women, they'd actually have to think about how a WOMAN would feel about a MAN harassing her, not about how they, personally, as a man, would feel about a woman doing it. Granted it's harder to imagine yourself the opposite gender, but not impossible if

That's interesting - I'm also tall with bitch face and I always thought that was what attracted it (I am an asshole magnet, I deal with this a lot more than my friends). Especially with bitch face - it usually comes as a demand that I smile.

Well see, that's what I do for my dog. His dewclaws aren't weight bearing either, so I have to clip them. If and when it becomes a problem, I'll have them taken off. But I'm not having him undergo surgery and anaesthesia to prevent something that might never happen.

Hear hear!! Kick the habit - milk is for baby kittehs!

Cheers, one of my dogs actually has dew claws like this. They've never given him any problems, and he climbs trees and runs in long grass etc. Surely, by not being attached by tendons and major blood vessels, dewclaws getting caught in something would be less traumatic and painful than losing a fully attached digit.

I'm a vegan - so neither for me either. Come sit by me, so we won't be "sad" and "lonely". We don't need this two-horse democracy. Food anarchy!!!

While I was working at a shelter I met a kitten with so many extra toes it was almost like a whole extra paw on the side of her paws, both front feet. It looked bizarre. Weird how we will just leave these with cats, but if a dog has a dangly dew claw, people are like CUT IT OFF!

Wow I'm watching this now - she is so sweet and seems really natural and happy after the transition. I do feel for her partner - it's hard when anyone you love changes. It must've been pretty drastic for the whole family. It's almost like someone has died. This just goes to show the surgery is hardly what you would

Hang on though, I was thinking about it, and maybe some French feminists do find the idea of the default gender offensive - I mean in English we have feminists who get up in arms about words like "manhole" or "history". These words aren't intrinsically offensive but some people do interpret them at sexist.

Oh you're right, it even says so right there. I thought it was male rather than neutral. I don't speak French but in Swedish the genders are "common" and "neutral". Which I would've thought was the same thing.

Oh isn't it just. Sigh.

Yes it's condescending and ridiculous but perhaps this is something we can't really relate to with our gender neutral language? Perhaps "for (specifically male) dummies" comes across as sexist in French ("women can be dumb too!"), and they assumed that to make a version with female pronouns etc. was a better idea than

The day Link and Zelda get actual voices is the day I stop playing that franchise, but as the author noted, this is less of an issue for Nintendo games. I remember when Rayman got a voice on the Playstation 2, I had to switch the language to French just to be able to get through it. Thankfully he's gone back to

When I first read that "It's not my fault you're pretty" line I imagined retorting "Oh? And I suppose it's MINE?!" if that was said to me. But after I saw how it escalated I was glad the author hadn't decided to be a smart mouth like me, it could've lead to some (further) serious trouble.

Let's all give a little back. With our vaginas.

I also noticed this - it only adds to the rage...
