Deep lore doesn’t mean bupkiss about the quality of a story though. In fact, confusing lore for story is where a lot of game adaptations go wrong.

I’ve loved Kingdom of the Crystal Skull since I first saw it. The hate is way over-blown. Personally, the only scene I’d remove is Shia swinging with the (terrible CGI) monkeys, everything else can stay.

I agree that AI shouldn’t be used to emulate the styles of existing artists or to avoid paying human artists for designs, but I don’t see this use as problematic. They’re using an AI generator here because the characteristic fucked-up way that it tends to render human subjects is artistically appropriate to the themes…
