But you better have a fair and reliable mechanic on speed dial.
I do DIY, but as I’ve started getting older I’m burning out a little, especially on chasing gremlins.

You don’t want to live in that world. Paying all of that in cash is a poor financial decision, even with current interest rates higher than they were.

Yeah I’m betting this behavior won’t stop. Most people, including myself, aren’t even sure when they’re getting fleeced, much less what consumer protections there are. When I’m buying a car (because my prior one has broken down), I really don’t have the time to read a legal brief. The only way this would work is if

I had a Chevy dealer attempt to charge $1200 for dealer prep. After digging at them they revelaed this included a pin stripe down the side of the car and nitrogen in the tires.....that already came from the factory with nitrogen in them....which is a scam in itself. They literally tried to scam the scam and cover it

I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum. Seven could’ve been one of the first slides, and I would’ve just nodded and moved on. I found it a bit too predictable at the time, and it felt to me like it was just going through the motions. It may be worth a rewatch, as I have a habit of being a bit too dismissive.

It’s always shocking to me how many people around me STILL don’t get Fight Club. I had a friend going “Tyler Durden was a cool guy with a cool point”, and if I head-desked any harder, I would’ve leveled the building.

He misunderstood Fight Club completely. It doesn’t glorify toxic masculinity, it decries it and considers it a side effect of late stage capitalism. And yes, that’s an oversimplification.

I think the AV Club writers are contractually obligated to include one baffling decision in every listicle just to keep us talking.

Now playing

If you’re going to use a Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trailer, it has to be the first teaser set to Karen O and Trent Reznor’s kick-ass Immigrant Song cover.

If placing “Fight Club” behind “The Game” and “Panic Room” is an almost criminal, then placing it behind “Gone Girl” is pure evil.

I don’t like the idea of the New Republic failing so horribly because it means that Luke, Han, and Leia lived long enough to see their victory over the Empire crumble to ash and then died, but given that the sequels locked Star Wars into that path I think the recent shows have done a good job of explaining how that

One of the faceless 10,000. This is shown a few times during Rebels, including where we see how much both Ezra and Kanan struggle fighting against inquisitors that Ahsoka later handles easily by herself.

Tbh, I see folk calling her “Jedi’ as just colloquial shorthand for “force user” as “Jedi” is all that most people know.

They’re traveling significantly faster than light, but it’s also good to remember that they can almost never travel directly from point A to B. They have to use the existing hyperspace routes and those are often not direct, which allows for travel to generally be as quick or as slow as the plot needs it to be.

One bit of bad writing that should be acknowledged is Hera’s failure to mention why she believed Thrawn was coming back, or even to mention “oh ya - and not only did they steal an SSD hyperdrive, there were two dark Jedi on Corellia”. That latter bit kind of feels like the key bit of information we needed - and it

I think it was a great episode and I love how the story is playing out so far.  I also really don’t want Ezra to be Marrok.  That might ruin it for me.

They’re traveling at the speed of light, right?

Some of it is just trying to milk as much content out of two episodes of TV as possible (this piece is about end credit music, I mean come on), but it is pretty great not having to worry about whether one show will satisfactorily reconcile 15 years worth of other shows (spoiler: it probs won’t).

After getting shunned by the Jedi, would it not make sense for Ahsoka to be cautious in some ways? Also, didn’t almost every other Jedi master act reluctant to train when given an opportunity?
