This reminds me a bit of how my dad, who worked in a sugar mill as a teen, complains about how much more stores charge for turbinado vs refined sugar. It’s just less-refined sugar and so should have lower production costs.

Oh, and don’t forget the triple-dot menu there. There’s an option there to also show system apps!

Oh, and once your looking at the list of apps wanting a permission there’s also a triple-dot menu item to include system apps. Make sure to look there too!

Bingo. I’ve turned off automatic app updates since the day I first got a smartphone.

The process on Android is very similar, but with a few extra steps. First open Settings, then select Apps, and tap on the app you’re curious about. Finally, scroll down to Permissions and select it to see what the app has access to on your phone.

Usually you just hold down the power button for a couple seconds.

Make a friend list that includes just the people and pages you actually want to hear from and bookmark it.
