Literally all they needed to do was have unique Lord characters, then let you choose from different palettes/models for your “Swordmaster”, “Sniper”, etc. It would have let you have the dozens of characters everyone wants.

I had the PS2 ones - it was surprisingly comfortable to hold, but the button layout makes it a turn-based RPG only controller - no DMC with that sucker.

I actually have two of these - Slime blue and Metal Slime silver. I did pay significantly less than $160 apiece though...
