They’ll do the beta, but then everyone will be salty and start calling them Beaters.

Well what else can anybody comment about now that you have it all handled?
Maybe, but the EX Shakunetsu Hadouken can!
This seems like a really wasted opportunity. Should have listed in Poke’Rap order.
The conflict of emotions - slight disappoint I didn’t get that you were in fact joking, glad that you were in fact joking, in hysterics because that response is beautiful and perfect, and grateful because I can now save that for future responses myself.
Good job, Kotaku. Being the only person on the internet who has made mention of this, you are the reason it will be ruined now. Damn you, Kotaku!
I would play the shit out of that game.
It’s more a question of why it received, and more importantly if it still deserves, that acclaim. FFX was well reviewed and loved in it’s time, but now people look back and throw it in the bottom 5 of their FF Tier lists. It’s possible that’s deserved, I don’t know, I haven’t played it since its heyday. But I feel…
The animation in the movie is also pretty top notch.
I feel like the Nickel & Dime thing is a bit harsh. I would gladly pay $60 for a 2-path Fire Emblem game, so I don’t see the issue with paying $40 then $20.
The 3rd path is debatable to me at this point. If it comes off as a solid expansion to the game, I’ll consider it a good DLC to a good game, and not something…
Intersting! Tactics is a solid choice, and not one I see often in people’s Top 3. Definitely would be nice to get rid of the battle slowdown, maybe a Steam release? That hasn’t happened yet, right?
I was a math major in college, so I’m far less educated on narrative structure and things like that, so I probably do let…
I’d argue the story doesn’t fall apart in FFVI. The world does, but not the story.
FFV keeps itself pretty together - Crystals, Two Worlds, GILGAMESH MORPHING TIME, and the Void. It holds together throughout.
FFIV is pretty straightforward too - not a great story, but there’s mention of legends of the moon and the…
Well, I like Zidane, and I adore Vivi. But that’s the extent of my fondness for the characters (which most likely plays into why I can’t like this game as much). Amarant feels 100% superfluous, Quina is strange and not very endearing (to me), and Freya’s character arc resolves itself pretty quickly, leaving her to tag…
“FFIX is without a question one of the best Final Fantasys Square ever put out”
I would question this, unless “one of the best” equates to Top 15. In which case ok, that works. But the story falls apart, superfluous characters exist, and turning off the encounter rate isn’t going to help the already slow pacing of the…
There’s nothing manly about the tears I shed.
Really, I was more upset when Robin and Lucina had feet in Smash.
remember when they cost more than $40 too?
I’ve never seen this before. Thank you for sharing. I will promptly be stealing this and using it everywhere.
I’d assume it’ll take a decent amount of grinding out matches, so they can somewhat incentivize the direct payment approach. However, if the characters take a bit of time to come out, many people may accumulate enough points between releases by playing naturally anyways! :)
It’s both, similar to League of Legends - they’ve stated you can unlock all characters via in game play currency, or purchase them via real money to expedite the process if you choose. Between that and what I assume will become tons of DLC costumes, I think they hope to sustain SFV for the forseeable future.
