Bonus points: the time EST at the bottom as they keep going on.

Interesting, I never heard the term! I wonder if those crowds didn't inter-mingle as much, or if maybe it's a location by location basis for term carry-over... Someone with resources, quick~! Do a study!

The whole Tetris segment was just beautiful. It was some of the craziest gaming I have ever seen. Even the runners who came after Tetris gave mad props, because that level of gaming is just a different level of running than the "normal" game speed runs.

I don't see it as a rip-off so much as a convenient way to describe a game mechanic in a "similar" game (in this case, a TCG). I played a bunch of different games, including the original WoW card game, and I never said I "exhaust" my this to do whatever - I always said I "tap" this. It was more convenient, since

The fact that that glitch was done by human hands, running on an NES, no cheats/assistance involved was godlike. I couldn't believe it. Honestly, I'm still freaking out that he managed it.

Increasing social links with digimon to allow them access to digivolving? Sounds pretty perfect to me. :)

in fairness to comparing to smt, they do have the same character designer as the Devil Survivor series. Which is awesome to me, even if it feels a little different than Digimon to me.

This comment is my hero.

Simultaneously. Like a DBZ fusion gone horribly wrong(right?)

Genuinely curious, since many people online now seem to praise 9 over the others - what is it about 9 that everyone loves so much? In particular, making them love it more than other highly regarded entries, like 6 or 7? :)

Marth and Lucina could get further with a fully-charged Shieldbreaker included. So they should still do pretty well. Shulk would still fall, unless they allowed Monado Arts, which they didn't in this one.

Try the first one. Even taking time to get all 108 characters, I beat the game in around 20-22 hours. It was surprisingly good with story/battle balance, which I don't think many games get right. Haven't tried any others in the series, yet.

I don't even care - I'd watch the shit out of a Static Shock movie.

It makes me a little sad to know that FFXIII and Persona 4 (original) don't get listed for Troy nowadays. BUT! I do love Matthew Mercer as Kanji anyway, I think he perfectly picked up with that character for everything since.

Wiped out by a random encounter with no way to have defended?

I bet that it's FFXVI. And FFXVI will release before FFXV, leading to pandemonium and hilarity.

Also Etrian Odyssey and Mystery Dungeon. :)

I disagree about diversifying, only because I like to go around pretending I'm a traveling Gym Leader. All Fire Pokemon, all the time. Hand out tons of badges (in the form of money) whenever someone beats me. Makes for some tough battles sometimes, but also can be rewarding.

Yeah, Suikoden and maybe Ogre Battle more than Tactics Ogre.

I for one appreciate the factual tidbit that I would not have been privy to otherwise. Thanks! :)
