I never understood the disdain for the Camry until I rented one. I wasn't expecting the cornering abilities of an M3, but neither was expecting a '76 Olds Ninety Eight's.

1995 S, 5-speed. Comfortable, could go forever on a tank of gas, and was a lot quicker than its specs would lead one to believe, but there came a point when everything started to clunk unnaturally, and it would spew oil like Jed Clampett's back yard. It also liked to shed belts like Gypsy Rose Lee shedding scarves.

All Japanese cars are more reliable than their American counterparts.

Any soccer mom who's vanpooled one too many times.

Knowing Americans' cavalier attitude towards small, inexpensive wagons, I'd be willing to bet on a Cruze-based mini-minivan or HHR replacement before we'd ever get the Cruze wagon here, although I'd take one in a heartbeat.

I've always been a fan of big Chryslers. Saw a black '65 New Yorker sedan for sale in somebody's driveway last year and almost drove off the road while ogling it. Hardtop wagon? Original condition? Oh yeah. Niiiiiice.

The taillights remind me just more than a bit of the current Taurus'.

Beats being the kid I saw dressed up like a mattress on a steamy August afternoon a few years back.

Floor wax! Dessert topping!

You can on the base model, but that only comes with vinyl...er..."leatherette" seats, which is like yeah, no thanks.

It's not a hatchback; it's a skateboard ramp. Young, cool guys, remember?

Do you mean plood on pleather?

I know if I was inconvenienced by a closed autobahn, I’d be one sour German citizen.

For starters, it's a sedan. And as much as we'd like to glamorize various GTS' and 340's, most Darts left the factory in family-friendly trim, powered by a weak (but durable) Slant Six.

*reminding self to GIS when I get home*

Studded tires and prudent use of the throttle.

How much cabbage would I have to cough up for a kimchi hatch like that?

Hot dogger?

Why not? Is playground equipment THAT scary?
