The game has been out for two months... and this is an article about the game. Seems like an appropriate forum. I’ll fuss about whatever I want.

Hard to take the cut chapter as intentional given what we know about Kojima being fired, but it’s a nice spin to put on things. I’ve played every MGS game, thanks!

Call it what you will but it was obviously intended to be the ending to the game and a huge part of the story. It won’t be unlocked via FOBs as you said, and that’s what I was referring to in my original post.

You fight the metal gear a few times, that’s all I can remember from my playthrough. And you do it by shooting it with missiles. None of the uniqueness or intrigue of the bosses that are a hallmark of the series.

Can we get an article that discusses the many faults of this game, which received universal critical acclaim on release but deserves a bit more scrutiny? The story was terrible and the community that follows MGS closely has largely agreed that a final act was completely cut from the game. There are essentially no boss

Horror as a genre always reflects the anxieties of the era. The current era is (as so far we can deduce while being in the midst of it), a fear of technology and social isolation.

To an outside observer who doesn’t play this game, this looks like it’s been blown way out of proportion (10 days to organize PR for a 75 person studio is objectively reasonable; microtransactions to support a game with no DLC is objectively reasonable). And, this article is written in a very critical tone.

As somebody who sunk (no pun intended) 200+ hours in Civ 5, and will probably continue to boot it up sporadically, Beyond Earth was one of the biggest disappointments for me in a long time. Civ 5 was bright, creative, full of life. When you completed the pyramids, or found that perfect tile near two different

I think King’s Fall is far and away the best content in the game. It’s an incredible achievement in game design, and there is nothing in console gaming like it now or ever before. As with all difficult things, it is not for everyone. It can be frustrating. But Destiny has given console gamers something akin to the

I find Patrick to be a misogynist blowhard, who wishes his TV show was more like Anchorman.

Must have been a display error - i see cubed items for all four of their seasonal characters. No way they would gimp themselves by not using the cube...

I’m trying to post my vicious jeremiad against the economic of the game industry, but my internet is lagging from my pre-release pre-download of MGS5!

Destiny has incredible lore, and it’s a shame it essentially takes a third party to compile it and make it into a sort of cohesive story. Cohesive, aside from key points like when things occur in relation to one another, and explanations for key individuals and why they exist (the stranger, the awoken, etc.). The

Buying a game with a scope like this these days is more like being an early adopter of a new apple product. You can be the first to play, but the polished version of the product is 6-12 months after release. Think GTA 5 (non functioning multiplayer, heists that didn’t arrive for over a year), Destiny (seeing its first

Haven’t played destiny in months, but visiting the reddit today was still magical.

this was an elaborate setup and I’m not sure if the joke was worth it but.... thumbs up anyway

This week on terrible hairstyles, a team of professional video game players go from “game over” to champions!
