Had to check my browser to make sure I was at Kotaku and not Actionbutton.net. Take note, Kotaku... that's a good thing.
My Shep was a male, black, with mustard yellow hair, blue eyes, a goatee and his name was "Lebron"... since mass effect 1.
Lot of angles on this, but I think the best one is that computing power increases exponentially, but there is no such corollary for the inputs that make a game pretty (developer time, talent, money, or human capability). We were pushing graphics as far as they could go in short hardware cycles up until the ps2, then…
I HATE YOU RARRRR!!!! just kidding, but yeah, Sony is a huge conglomerate. Typically the divisional CEO runs divisional events like this. This event was probably just a blip on an email somewhere for the head of Sony.
Really awful "analysis" here. Just repeating what was said and typing "That sounds crazy!" after it is not thoughtful.
As a huge MGS fan, I have to consider this game not canonical no matter what Konami/Hideo say. It makes no sense.
1. Morrowind / Skyrim tie
I think they scrap the endings entirely and start fresh.
A top 5 video gaming moment for me was beating FFX, so it is number 1 in my book. It was the first RPG I ever finished (and one of the first I ever played), and I had no idea what I was doing. I applied the mentality of a person who spent the majority of his time modding PC games - I tried to beat that sucker as fast…
These shots tease of a day when Bioware will announce new ending DLC for ME3.
This is why I want the review so bad! I don't consider IGN reviews "real", and no source I trust has reviewed it yet. That said, I've been so starved for an RPG, I downloaded ni no kuni shortly after posting this original comment. So take your time, Jason.
It's pretty standard in the industry to review games before you complete them. I know, earth shattering news.
Understandable, I'd rather wait for a thorough review than get some release-timed haberdashery. Keep up the good work!
Why don't you take a break from Ni No Kuni to REVIEW Ni No Kuni.... :)
#4 is champion in my heart.
I could definitely be wrong, but every major outlet reviewed witcher 2 for 2012. Fair enough if the version that came out in 2011 was in substance the same as the one in 2012 though, I only played the latter.
I get that there is some issue with the release date, but just about every outlet reviewed it for 2012, not 2011.
Read the first sentence of all the rest of these replies, and you'll see why this games wasn't GOTY for most people.
This is cool, I need to start doing this.
