I love Humble New Tab Page. It is fully customize (you even get an option to edit CSS sheet if you want), yet minimal and displays bookmarks beautifully.

I understand that most of these apps work on iPad, but can you make a similar list for iPad?

That would be impossible. Installing the same extensions is easy now because WebKit is used in both browsers. But syncing requires server connection to Google's and Opera's servers.

Sorry, but the newer version is much more responsive, weather I am on a mac or on Windows. However, don't expect it to be a VLC media player because you know iTunes is much more then that; therefore, it is normal that is more resource consuming.
