Maybe Pre-9-1-1 and Post-9-1-1 Frank Miller? I'm a bigger fan of "Pre".
Scott Snyder's Batman is the one #1 I've been waiting for, should be awesome. The new Abrams Star Trek book looks pretty good too.
Speaking as a TOS fan (I was a HUGE Trek fan at the time) I was resentful and disillusioned when ST:Generations came out. It wasn't a "passing of the torch", it was more "crap on the old people so we can look better". After that I didn't follow any of it with any regularity, other than the occasional "Shatner-verse"…
I think this place is full of spies
You're not alone with that one. lol
All of these were great, my desktop hearts you.
We've all got it comin' kid... *Clint Eastwood Voice*
Mego was awesome! I had Batman (w/Batmobile), Robin, Superman, Penguin, Kirk, Spock, and McCoy. Ah good times.
Big Jim was awesome, I had the judo-chop one that came with a pistol.
This was really cool. These days Bond's old Walther (7.65mm/.32ACP) would be considered a ladies purse gun . Most defense people would say a handgun should be .380 and up to be viable. I know in the new Bond novel "Carte Blanche" he upgraded to a Walther PPS in .40 S&W, not that this will influence the films at all.
Admittedly first issues aren't the best barometer whether a series will be good. But there are a few that weren't fantastic, but still made me hopeful. I'm a DC guy so I'm along for the ride. Animal Man did give me a "holy shit" moment that's for sure. :)
Amen. Steppin' into eden, Yay brother!
Detective Comics IS about Batman, now. Bruce Wayne is back. :)
Looks like it's a good week to be a DC Fan, and I am. Lots of good stuff. :)
I saw this game (on tv unfortunately), other than the Giants losing it was an awesome event. Go Giants!!
Oh my god, it's full of AWESOME.
Kinda reminds me of "The Fisher King", looks interesting.
