The Deltawing has to be right up there. It started life as a rejected design for the new Indycar and somehow found its way over to sportcars. It got ditched by Nissan after a year(much like the GT-R LM) but continued in private hands. It’s shown some speed but the car can’t seem to last a race distance. After 3 years…

Nobody listened to us for years. YEARS!!!! RAM sacks up and puts a small diesel in a truck, back logs of orders and they sell like water to someone in the Sahara. Then GM jumps on the bandwagon, now Ford. Maybe the assholes in product planning and marketing should hang out here more often.

The DMV itself has said that it is unqualified to write these regulations. It was a mistake to assign the task to the DMV. A better choice would have been to appoint a task force at, say, the University of California, or even at Caltrans.

This would be correct. The car that did this was Chassis 002 and was fresh from it’s last VLN race where it’s sister Chassis 001 finished 2 OA and this one finished in the top 10. It was street legal except for tires. (SVA/Homebuilt in the US) and did this with restricted HP (490HP) and about 100KG of race ballast.

Damn, this guy must be on a whole assortment of government watch lists.
