Yea that's true. As far as I've read, even on the Macbook Pro's, the only user replaceable parts(as far as Apple is concerned) is the hard drive and ram.

You have no idea how accurate that is. Considering the sheer unknowable size of the entire universe, lots of assumptions are made in hopes that the macrocosm does indeed the microcosm.

I will concede on the space issue, but have you actually used the new Macbook Air's? I was in an Apple store last month, and let me tell you, those 13" MBA's are wicked fast. Apps launch literally in the blink of an eye. Click the icon, BOOM, app's ready to use.

I love Windows 7 but it will never replace Mac. However for those so inclined, I give you this: [superuser.com]

Figured this was a good question, worthy of peoples attention. Just gonna drop this link here for you to do your homework with: [support.apple.com]

So I can either know the bunny is already in the hat, OR be amazed when he pulls a bunny out of the hat, but not both.

I think of it this way.

That's what bird shot and a modified or open choke on the shotgun is for. Allows the shot to spread quickly, so that only a couple pellets will hit any individual bird. Many people only hunt with a shotgun. My first deer gun in fact was a 12ga. single shot with 3" magnum slug rounds.

No kidding! I've never had it happen with any other drives though. At any given time I have about 6 computers in my house, and that one hard drive has been the only one that I can swap between any computer and it doesn't ask for activation. I've never made sense of it. I just keep using it LOL!

I have basically the same thing set up. Except I have a separate network for torrenting on, and a separate server that stores everything. The torrent server has only a single 1TB drive. automatically gets and starts torrents, when finished they move to a separate directory where cron kicks in and they are converted by

Love this video! Girl got exactly what she deserved.

Depends on the laptop and the problem. My $1400 Macbook Pro recently needed the entire screen replaced. $200 on eBay, and it was live again and working great.

I have the same MBP that I bought shortly after they were released. I WANT to want the new Air, but the non-upgradeable parts kill me. My Mid-2009 MBP has 8GB of ram and a 7200RPM drive, and in a couple weeks I'll be ordering an SSD and OWC Data Doubler for it. I like to be able to upgrade my stuff. I suppose I'll

To be fair, you don't even need Boot Camp Assistant to dual boot with Windows on Mac. Boot Camp Assistant is essentially a User Friendly GUI for Disk Utility when setting up a dual boot.

M last iPod died after 3 months because I kept it in my pocket when I ran. It never came anywhere near water, to the point that it never went near the sink, or into the bathroom at all. Upon sending it to Apple, they said water damage.

No as a matter of fact they have each been wildly different machines. One was a custom build, Biostar MB with Phenom CPU, another was an old Celeron D store bought tower, and the other 2 had Athlon X2's but different everything else.

I LOVE my Magic Trackpad. I haven't had it long, but every time I sit down and reach for a mouse, then remember that I'm like "Oh Yea!", multitouch gestures are GREAT!

Actually if you read the user manuals on the Apple website, the MacBook Pro's do have user replaceable hard drives. I will concede that you are right in that Apple does not support replacing the blade drive in Macbook Airs.
