The Moto G is the absolute best budget smartphone, it handles everything I throw at it very well. Even PSP emulation.
Even if that was true, the download could be compressed so that when you finished it, you'd just have to unpack the archive.
The amount reduced quality isn't large enough to be noticeable, and PC gaming barely has any loading times.
