Yeah, it's strange that it's taken this long to really become a more prominent issue, although in fairness, I really didn't know any girls who played video-games until a few years ago; I think maybe you guys were kind of in the minority until recently. Obviously, though, that's not the case now :P

I know what you mean; having been a huge DBZ fan, I'll always defend it, but watching it now, most of it is pretty cringe-worthy, lol

Hmm, true. I suppose it's still difficult for me to understand or relate, but I would definitely try to keep an open-mind if such a story were presented.

No doubt :P

I mean, I get that he's constantly changing them out, it just seems odd he constantly *releases* them, as if keeping them at Oak's farm "isn' good" or something. It just seems like kind of an odd message, kind of counter to the aspect of "catching 'em all".

True, although... I suppose the "transgender" issue feels a bit more distant. Largely because, honestly, I've never met a transgender person before, and I suppose because of it, movies and television constantly instill the fear that your girlfriend/wife/lady-friend will wind up tearing off a mask, and revealing

I have to say, I have some fundamental issues with the show. First and foremost, they actually fucking *DISCOURAGE* the Evolution of Pokemon, and explain it as basically brain-washing your Pokemon.

Ah, that wasn't the one I was thinking of, but it's definitely a fantastic show I forgot to count! To be honest, though, I actually thought the giant-mechs were an unusual element that I think might have been better to do without. I really liked the overall sense of style the show had, though; very classy/upscale.

Interesting stuff. I can only imagine how shitty certain aspects of Gaming, as a whole, must feel to women (and non-white ethnicities). I think there are definitely some people who buck against it too much, but there's absolutely an issue, and I for one welcome diversity. It beats playing another generic brown-haired,

Sounds like quite a lot of categories check-off on that list. I'm surprised "Giant Mech" isn't listed there, since, in my opinion, Gundam Wing is about the only anime I've seen it done right (there was another one, which used to air on Toonami, that was really good... it dealt with artificial-people being terrorists,

I'd say the first 151, and then just kind of pick-and-choose the better Pokemon some subsequent generations. You know, all of the Special/Legendary Pokemon, and just fan-favorites (such as the Eevee forms).

Preach on, man! Seriously, for a company whose bread and butter is their fans, they don't seem particularly forthcoming, and they really don't seem terribly bothered about what their Western audiences want.

Sigh, if only it weren't for that goddamn name. Even as crappy as it sounds, "Wii 2" would have at least conveyed the message that it's a truly new console. "Wii U" really does just sound like an expansion-pack to most people.

Yeah, a full-on Pokemon MMO would get those Wii U's moving in no time. Honestly, if the Wii U doesn't start selling soon, I wouldn't be surprised to announce such a project anyways; like you say, it would be the killer app that Nintendo clearly needs, and it'd be something neither Sony nor Microsoft could even hope to

Well, sprites are quite a lot more expensive to make, though I personally think they looks a lot better. The sprites themselves would still need to be HD, though, ala "Super Street Fighter II HD Edition". I think the appeal of the whole "retro graphics" is starting to pass, and it would never make it for a full-price

I think I speak for everyone when I say:

I've been saying this for years. People may like this formula, but by no means is it competitive, nor does it even try to be. It's just a nonsensical formula, when you break it down; you have to play for a certain period of time to unlock better weapons. The longer you play, the more skilled you will become. So you

Honestly, this is just the nature of the future of Gaming. We're essentially buying glorified PC's, which is why in the past few months, I've slowly migrated to having PC as my primary gaming platform.

In previous Assassin's Creed games, you always felt like an assassin. In AC3, Connor feels more like a "warrior", far removed from his ancestors. Was that a conscious choice?

Yeah, it definitely doesn't bode well for Epic. Sounds about the same as what happened to Capcom; once all your key players leave, you just aren't going to be the same.
