Hmm, didn't actually know all that. Still, this is the first time (again, that I'm aware of now) that he made a mistake that resulted in a slightly lesser game.

As I've been saying since the 3DS was announced, Nintendo needs to fire whoever came up with these names. They were getting greedy, hoping to ride the curtails of the brands they had already established, ala Apple. What they failed to realize is that Apple products *are* just iterations on the same designs. Instead,…
Stated perfectly. I'm surprised to find that, for once, I actually think Miyamoto made a mistake on this one. It's not enough that I lose respect for him or anything, but like you said, it shows he isn't perfect.
I'll admit; I tried the 3DS XL out at Target the other day, and it definitely feels a lot more comfortable that the standard model. But, having been spoiled by the GORGEOUS Zelda-Edition 3DS, I gotta say; the available colors are just ugly as all hell.
I think WH40K always struck me as being a little too close to modern military, in terms of aesthetics. It definitely has flashes of brilliance, but something about it just never quite captivated me.
I was mostly referring to the number of people who played it. Very few people I've met have even heard of it, although like you say, practically everyone praises it.
Personally, I hope it draws inspiration from Super Mario Sunshine. It was an underrated game anyways, but the tropical setting was absolutely GORGEOUS, and would be a perfect fit for Yoshi (among some other locales, such as snowy areas and whatnot). As well, I always really liked the FLUDD mechanic, and I think it…
Yeah, that screenshot of the "walking tank" mech had a really distinct look, like I've seen it in some anime before. Can't quite put my finger on it, but definitely feels like it has some very Japanese influence. EIther way, still interesting though :)
Hmm, well I'm definitely interested. I like the idea of having a modern spin on a "Knight" archetype, without necessarily devolving into generic Japanime "techno-medieval armor" and whatnot.
It's really a shame, because I personally very much like the Vita, from what I've seen of it. I don't care for the back-touchpad, but it has a really appealing design, and feels very comfortable in your hands. But it lacks games, and for me, it's too expensive.
What do women *really* think of guys with red hair?
Yeah, both of those points come together as one big problem. Most people I know still think the 3DS is just a DS with 3D. Nintendo should have realized their mistake after the abysmal sales of the 3DS, but instead, they trucked right along with the name "Wii U". It's a great product, but because of the name, I'll…
Fun fact; most people in Georgia are actually incredibly vain and shallow, with a pretty large share of our women being very attractive (albeit superficial).
"Daemon Gildas" is my gamertag, and several other usernames.
Absolutely, but I think there's still room to improve. As you say, games with female protagonists don't sell as well; facts are facts. So, maybe a smaller developer could be given a smaller budget, with the understanding that the game will feature a female/minority character. The risk is lower then, and it would be a…
Honestly, I think the Wii U is in a really good position for third-party support, as long as it can move its consoles enough to get a decent install-base. Aside from Call of Duty and a handful of other gold IP's, I don't think many developers or publishers are going to want to take the risk of making more expensive…
Hah, that actually would've been really clever!
Good point. I suppose part of it, though, is that maybe Publishers should start making more of an effort to back games with female protagonists, and simply plan budgets accordingly. The thing is, I think the reason Gaming is still a male-dominated hobby is very much the same reason it's also a white-dominated hobby;…
Exactly! Nintendo may not have the head-and-shoulders more powerful hardware right now, but they've got a damned solid product, and one that I suspect is going to be far more "gamer-friendly" than any other peripheral to date (save for Kinect and Dance Central 3; that thing is just too much fun!).
Well, much as I hate to say it, it seems pretty clear at this point that the Wii U is current-generation hardware, and not even the top-end of it. I still think the GamePad, if utilized correctly, could make for an unparalleled gaming experience, but I feel safe in saying that we probably won't be seeing much more in…
