Jesus, the Wii U's GamePad looks awfully uncomfortable if you spend any significant amount of time using the face-buttons... Hopefully, it's more comfortable than it looks. Just to about the 1:30 mark to see a guy actually handling it:

Exactly. A lot of times, I think we forget that, in a way, we've sort of been "bred" to be skilled gamers. Innovation can come from many places, but it usually comes from people on the outside, looking in.
Honestly, this actually is a really cool idea. Just the other night, we decided to watch one of the Harry Potter movies, despite having already seen them before, and I was constantly thinking "Man, I would *LOVE* be able to play Borderlands 2 on that GamePad, while also enjoying a movie". Sure, I could just as easily…
Seriously, if you haven't played this game, *PLEASE* at least download the Demo!!! I absolutely hated their previous Shank games, but this really does the Stealth genre justice in a big, big way.
Hmm, very good point. I wonder, how much more expensive is it to have a multi-touch screen? I suspect Nintendo is already going to be losing money on the GamePad, but having multi-touch functionality would definitely give it a longer life-span, I would think.
Honestly, I'm curious to see whether the Wii U's GamePad will take advantage of some of these previously PC-exclusive advantages. For example, with all of your items assigned to the second-screen, perhaps the D-pad could be your means to lean? And being able to Quick-save and Quick-load would be absolutely stellar…
Honestly, the biggest piece of advice I could give a fellow "nerd" is... give into your instincts. I know Disney has told us that good girls "love what's on the inside", but that's just not how the world works. And honestly, for a long time I was extremely resentful for that. I looked at these girls who fawned over…
Context makes all the difference in the world. Are you pissed that Oblivion didn't just come with The Shivering Isles? That Mortal Kombat 1 didn't have all the characters from Mortal Kombat 2?
Of course it does! You wouldn't get pissed-off about having for pay for a sequel, or an expansion-pack, because the content is made after the fact. Now, if you want to argue about how quickly he was added after release, or you think her pricing is still too high, that's another argument entirely. I mean, I think $10…
Personally, the way I've always look at it is that Anime characters are kind of "outside" normal ethnicities. For example, when I see Goku or Trunks, I don't see a Japanese guy, nor do I see a Caucasian guy; I just see the character within the world it's designed.
Well, considering she's all-new content, and not some stupid "disc-locked content", I'd say it's fair game; it was obviously better to pre-order, but she was obviously designed after the initial game was finish. And honestly, it really shows; she is *WAY* more fun than the initial 4 characters!
You know, it's really a damn shame, because Mega Mega is still one of the most recognizable characters ever created — maybe not quite up there with the likes of Mickey Mouse, but I can promise you that a lot of people know who he is, even if they don't know the name.
Hmm, this is hugely concerning. If there's one thing that I like, it's a sturdy controller. I always have enough reservations about the GamePad as it is, but a flimsy Pro Controller? Not good...
You know, it's really a shame that more Developers aren't embracing the hand-drawn sprites. I mean, just look at the Street Fighter II remake they did on XBLA and PSN; that game is fucking GORGEOUS!!! And the Castlevania games have always been heralded as some of the most beautifully animated games in existence.
Man, I would totally go for a clear-plastic console...
That's exactly what I'm hoping to do with my sister; I think she likes the *idea* of Borderlands 2, but she's not really into typical Shooters. I think the "Best Friends Forever" skill, and it's emphasis on being a little more noob-friendly, is going to go a long ways.
Honestly, I can't say it seems terribly surprising. I mean, practically any media can affect us, and given that youth are more susceptible than adults, it makes sense. Even as adults, we've all very much malleable, heavily influenced by the entertainment we consume.
Fuck Capcom.
That's exactly the problem; there is a huge barrier that, quite frankly, shouldn't be there. Pokemon was at the height of popularity when a kid could pick the game up, and gradually work themselves in a position to compete simply because they liked and continued to play the game.
More power to you for embracing it! I think your having done modeling is a huge positive; I think more people should be encouraged to take pride in themselves. Too often, I think people get away with belittling others for taking care of their appearance, as though people are two-dimensional. Obviously, that was only…
