Very sad to hear. The Old Republic definitely has some outdated design-choices by MMO standards, but it has immense promise, and was extremely polished. Best wishes to those who've been let go!

Right, but the issue is that, because nobody is putting fourth that level of detail when it comes to scripting, it will never improve.
I think what he's saying is that "Story" is restricted purely to the Hollywood definition of a Story. Even BioWare's RPG's, for all their supposed hype, still follow a very linear path, with the only variations being superficial at best.
Wow, the Tony Stark, Nick Fury, and Loki ones are really, really impressive! The others, though... Detailed, but not *quite* like their movie counterparts.
Thank god. I swear, if Nintendo used those goddamn Slider-pads for the Wii U, I'm wouldn't buy it.
Honestly, I hope Capcom makes good on there word. No negative connotations, no tongue-in-cheek jab, I just really hope they stop this disc-locked content. That alone would be about the single biggest thing they could do to repair their image, to me, short of reinstating Legends 3's development.
Honestly, I think Blizzard made the wrong choice in this case. Thing is, I don't always HAVE an internet connection, even though I do have internet. When there's a storm and it knocks my internet out, Diablo III would be a great way to kill some time waiting for a connection — after all, it's a goddamn POINT-and-CLICK…
Hooooly shit, the full version was goddamn hilarious!
It's such a shame. MMO's used to be completely different from one another, but since World of Waracraft, it's like they're all built on its foundations, with minor deviations.
Mankind has built empires, overcome tyranny, made cure for diseases of all kinds, exerted dominance over the entire globe, and it's only a matter of time before even cancer is a thing of the past.
I just hope they make more than Mario or Luigi playable...
Absolutely awesome! The only thing I'd have personally changed, is I'd have moved the Kingdom Hearts part to right after MGS2, simply because both themes are so powerful and emotional, I think they'd be a better climax than Kingdom Hearts bridging into Kid Icarus.
He's angsty, skinny, sports trendy tattoos, light-skinned, and now boasts Angelic powers. Like I said, by no means am I suggesting he's a bad character (and, if I'm being perfectly honest, he actually looks more interesting than old Dante), but you can't deny that he is WAY different.
It's a strange feeling. The game looks good in its own way, but I still can't get past the new "Dante". Even though he's generic by today's standards, you can't change a character that much and still try to sell him as the same thing.
Fair point. Kind of a shame, that.
Agreed. I don't *dislike* attractive characters or anything, but that in and of itself does not make a good character.
Yeah, it all comes down to smart art-design. It's the exact same thing if you look at the Xbox-original Ninja Gaiden or PS2's Kingdom Hearts; good design can span years and years and still look great.
I'll be perfectly honest, the Rogue in WoW is probably one of the least fun to play at low levels (Paladin is still the worst, though). If you can manage to have fun with it, more power to you, but I didn't have "fun" with it until about level 60.
I just hope he can capture some of the magic that the Dreamcast-era Sonic Team had!
Aye, the PSP-Go just... well, sucks. Such a shame, since it's the most convenient handheld gaming-centric device yet, and surprisingly comfortable.
