Same here; I like that "For gamers, By gamers" vibe of the site, but the redesign has been bullocks. Not just that it's a bad redesign (not the worst thing ever, but bad nonetheless), but it really discourages users to discuss things.

In fairness, they do some pretty shady stuff. For instance, in the one I used to frequent, if a game was returned less than a week later, being a new purchase, they would re-seal it and sell it as a new copy; for all I know, it may be a practice they still participate in.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work correctly for all of us. The moment I click on an article, it's right back to this shit, and the *community* aspect of Kotaku will probably never be the same.
Honestly, I'm pretty certain I won't be picking up one of these unless they implement some *real* joysticks, similar to their own "Classic Controller" for the Wii. It's the biggest reason I've held off from picking up a 3DS, I sure as hell don't plan on buying a home console that isn't comfortable.
That was the best thing I've read this month. Nice!
Well played, sir.
As I've said before; is there anything more attractive than a redhead?
Hey, is there any way to trade a PSP-Go for a standard PSP model, without it costing anything? And, more than that, would I be able to transfer all of my digital games?
Honestly, I'm not surprised; as mentioned, I think OoT's remake is "celebration-enough" in Nintendo's eyes. Still, I would love to see Majora's Mask remastered so beautifully, or even Link's Awakening plus the Oracles titles on a single cart.
FUUUUUUUUCK Thrall looks good, but everyone else in the trailer looks like ass. It's not like Thrall's model is some ungodly polycount, the best thing they could do is revamp all of the existing races (save, perhaps, the Worgen and Goblin). Maybe if my Human Death Knight didn't look like his body had been drawn by a…
Just chiming in; as a bit of an outside when it comes to PC gaming (I've used Steam exclusively for downloading games on ridiculous sale, not paying any mind to the rest of the service), I find it interesting to hear about how it works, and how PC gamers are more attached to certain services than others.
I'm with you, really; most of the reviews seem to treat is like it's "nothing special", yet it's getting ratings near the bottom of the spectrum. Honestly, I can't say I was really that interested in playing the game (I was probably too young to really "get" Duke at the time), but it *sounds* like reviewers are being…
It's always crazy to me. On one hand, this is the Robin Williams I remember from my childhood; just a nice guy with a smile you can't help but share. Plus, the beard is nothing short of God-like.
That's like saying, if some guy tries to jack your wallet from you, but you get away, then there's no harm done. If these guys were really vying for some increased digital security, there are ways of encouraging that sort of change, you know, *legally*.
Totally agreed, on both counts. In fact, they could remove your character entirely from the screen, if the focus was on Force powers. That way, if there's a technical issue of it registering movements, you could at least make the excuse "You need to be more zen-like in your movements; slow and precise".
You pretty much hit the nail on the head, I think; if not for the presence of *actual* racing games, people would probably be equally dismissive of that genre, based on crappy implementations that most action-games have. That's not to say those people are "stupid" or "whiny", but that if you haven't experienced the…
Absolutely; the PR/Marketing team absolutely bombed this one. The name "Wii U" just sounds like an addon, not something to genuinely be respected. And let's be perfectly honest, the Wii U is obviously aimed towards a slightly more "serious" crowd than the Wii; just as most guys wouldn't be caught dead ordering a…
I am deeply saddened that Darksiders 2 hasn't gotten more love. Granted, Death's face looks all kinds of retarded, but everything else looks like a hoot.
I'm glad someone else feels that way. There's just something about Michael J. Fox that seems like he's a genuinely good person.
Very, very interesting article, Joel Johnson! I'll admit, I've had a case of the "Meh's" in recent months regarding this game, so you really voiced a lot of my chief concerns. I'm a fairly hardcore MMO player, and even I can't distinguish the appearance of the gameplay from WoW that much. As you said, that's not to…
