Hmm, definitely a good read. I actually played WoW fairly hardcore until Cataclysm, but was still hoping BioWare's MMO would change enough of the formula to hold my interest. The single-player segments definitely still look to be worth the price of admission, but I'm not quite sold on the multiplayer aspect; there's

It makes me sad how true this is. I've made an active commitment to not buy games with these kind of policies in play, but even I'm guilty of not paying as much attention until *after* something has become an issue.

This is the whole problem with the digital age; there aren't enough rights to protect the consumer, and as such, corporations with the right lawyers have almost free reign over what is and isn't "allowed".

Best read in a while. Thumbs-up to you, sir.

As I said, a lot of things have definitely been improved. But it still stands that some of the decisions that have been made have changed the game.

True, I used the word "exploit" rather loosely. Still, it's the same sort of issue a lot of players have with, for example, Marvel vs Capcom 3. The core game is better than ever, but the presentation and features are severely lacking.

As for the Class-specific armor comment, what I'm referring to is aesthetics. Back in Vanilla WoW, the Paladin Tier 1 looked totally unique from any other armor in the *entire* game. It lent well to the fantasy setting, as an order of Paladins truly looked like *Paladins*.

It certainly never had the amount of customization that Everquest had, I'll give you that. But when you saw a max-level Paladin, you *KNEW* he was a Paladin. And, with a little observation, you could pinpoint just what content he had or hadn't seen.

No doubt, Blizzard has a great track-record. But WoW's quality has steadily be drooping (though there have definitely been improvements), so it's hard to be quite as optimistic for Diablo 3. I'll still buy it, though, and hopefully it'll live up to the standard that D2 set.

Not at all; they're exploiting the fanbase by refusing to put any real effort into a subscription-based game, and are actively making changes to ensure players can't even enjoy things they used to. They made roughly five sets of armor, and copy-pasted them on to every single armor in the game (so that classes don't

Whether it's laziness, a lack of resources, or simply a lack of creativity, WoW has just become a really sad affair. Once upon a time, every Class looked and felt unique from one another; not always balanced, mind you, but unique. Now, every single character in the game looks identical (I'm not lying; Warriors and

Such a shame; Blizzard used to be my favorite developer. As WoW's lifespan wanes on, however, I've grown to despise them almost as much as Capcom, in terms of exploiting their fanbase.

If anything, I'd like to think of it as a testament to man's ingenuity. You know, for science.

So I've heard. I remember reading some of excerpts from the original Cinderella story, as well, that were pretty creepy.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and respond with "No shit".

Maybe I'm just not as "macho" as I used to be, but... Does anyone else think this game looks creepy as shit?

I dunno, Dead Rising 1 was pretty campy, though in a very, very awesome way. I agree, though; there's nothing fun about being "somewhere in the middle". It's why I hated Left 4 Dead 2, it became a bit too graphic, but without adding any real substance, which just felt really awkward.

Agreed; multiplayer-focus just... well, it ruins single-player experiences. They really should've embraced what we all fell in love with the trailer, giving us a deep, heartfelt story, rather than "just another zombie game".

I wonder; does Nintendo have any intentions of making SNES VC-games compatible with the 3DS? I would *LOVE* to get some on-the-go Donkey Kong Country or the like.

Pretty much everything PlatypusMan said. Also, I would ***STRONGLY*** urge you to pick up "Phantasy Star Online" if you've never played it. It's technically a port of a Dreamcast game, but it has several additional Classes to play as, a ton of extra content (basically a super-expansion), and they beefed up the visuals
