@Ruler of Eden: I'm just saying, he could replace Ermac (too damn many ninja's running around!), yet would still fill the role of being able to execute awesome fatalities. (personally, I'd take the mind control-suicide for being over-the-top). That, and it was really the only notable effort Midway had, post-16-bit

I'm sure I'm gonna get flamed for saying this, but...

Well, this is a sad day for gaming; Keiji Inafune was one of the fathers of the 8-bit era, and has had quite a legacy.

@Anizawa: Well, I know he had a lot of issues of the standard Capcom practice of pumping out sequels with little-to-no quality control. Maybe he'll wind up making his own studio?

I think a very large part has to do with the Playstation having established itself upon the labor of many Japanese studios, whilst the Xbox was obviously spurring a lot more Western development. Be it patriotism or xenophobia, I just never got the vibe that many gamers on that side of the pond felt like the Xbox was

Luke, I know you tend to hate everything, but I think you really hit the nail on the head with the comment on conventional JRPG's; there's just too much bullshit to sift through.

@Snow leopard: I think even looking like a *bad* 360 game is noteworthy for the Wii. That's not to say the Wii is a bad system, but let's face it; for a Wii game to look *good*, it usually requires them to focus more on stylization.

@Herabek: Actually, the depth-perception thing is only a myth, as far as walking around whilst covering one eye. Reason being, there are subtle "clues" that let us know how far something is.

Okay, I just want to get this off my chest before it becomes an issue...

You know, as awkward as that was, you *KNOW* the dev's have to feel stupid, getting schooled on their own lore.

Question; In Fable 2, I found the character to move quite sluggish. I don't mean "slow", but very clumsily. Pressing up on the thumbstick, it would take a split-second for it to register with the character. While it *looked* nice, it's one of those things that I can't overlook.

Aww, I played the demo lastnight, *SO* fun! I'll just have to put it on my list of "things to buy when I get a job and pay overdue bills".

@Knaaks: Personally, I think it'd be cool, even, to revisit the Knights of the Old Republic games, perhaps a revitalized Jedi Academy.

I don't care what you think of the rest of it, playing as Darth Vader on the first level of the first game was a BLAST!!!

Nice! I'm not a big fan of the new Review-format, but the addition of awesome contests more than makes up for it :D

@visionincision: Oh, trust me; it aint. However, those jeans are pretty subtle as far as the "dragonball" references go; most people would probably just assume them to be some designer-ish label. It's actually surprisingly tasteful, considering...

Also, for the love of CHRIST, Sony; make sure the PSP's screen as some form of fucking protection! My PSP has been rendered nearly unplayable, thanks to some "brilliant" design choices. And hell, I'm talking about the PSPGo; don't even get me started on the issues of the original model.

What the hell kind of kid wants a *PHONE* for Christmas?

Jesus fucking Christ, what the hell is wrong with you, Blizzard?!?
