People make fun of the whole “I don’t feel safe at night unless my car has AWD” thing, and I agree it’s largely unnecessary in most cases. I also honestly cringe when I hear subaru adds on the radio etc, mostly because the people in the adds sound to me like some of the most scared and helpless and annoying people out

You’re ill-informed.

Nowhere is Subaru’s might stronger than here in New England. Having the most AWD vehicles in the lineup helps, I’m sure. All I know is that Subarus are the dominant force in my office parking lot, well ahead of Toyotas, Fords, even Volkswagens (another regional thing I’ve noticed. People love their VWs up here).

Subaru isn’t just putting on a good face, it seems. Customer service is fantastic. I’m able to go into the parts department and get into a small conversation with the people who work there. They don’t act like they’re too busy to help you. It seems like they actually do care. Happy employees make a good company.

Yes, but a lot of people had been saying things like “He was only 2 seconds behind Secretariat, because they don’t seem to realize in horse racing, 2 seconds is a huge distance

Watching Sham, a tremendous horse who would have been a triple crown contender any other year, in the Belmont is amazing. He ran with Secretariat for half the race, and got beat by 50 lengths. That is what happens to a normal horse when it tries to run at that pace for a mile and a half.

I have tried quite a few including some pricy stuff like Jack Blacks natural deodorant ( which I DO NOT recommend. made my armpits itchy and metamorphisized into a cat pee smell after a few hours. not cool). I have recently picked up some Dove Mens Deodorant which smells lovely , does not irritate and the smell holds

In the bell curve of overlanding there are 2 ends;

The Focus RS looks like a really pissed off catfish. And if you have ever gone fishing for big catfish you know they put up one helluva fight.

Your mother has a heart of gold.

My mother LOVES dogs and adopted this really old one (couldn’t tell you the breed) that’s mostly blind and deaf. The shelter said he had *maybe* a year left before he died and my mother wanted to “give him a good life” before he went.

That was about 4 or 5 years ago now, he’s still alive, happy and healthy as ever.

Not even necessarily broken dogs, just older ones in general. Even dogs as young as 4 or 5 have a hard time finding owners because people only want puppies. I adopted my shih-tzu at age 6, and he had been at the shelter for over 3 months already (he’s now almost 13 and still as spunky as ever). Older dogs are almost

Please if you’re thinking about adopting, take a look at some of the older or broken pups*. Cute adorable puppies are almost certainly going to find a forever home, but the older dogs and those with physical and mental ailments** might never find a home unless someone is willing to take them in. Older and broken dogs

My dog had it. It wa horrible to watch. Thankfully she is ok now.

Coco (left, in white) and one of her pups. Adopted her off the streets in 2007. She’s made of sugar and love.

Not ready for prime time: I can’t access poop emoji. :[

Right. Which is great if you’re an automotive enthusiast, like you or me... (so your point is valid in that situation)...
...but for the other 98.7% of the human population, who rely on dealerships and local repair shops, the running costs of the Audi simply aren’t worth it. I’d know: My dad owned two A6 Audis... and
