It's worse than that. Tali becomes traumatized and decides to jump off a cliff.

"Honestly, any writer that has to go to the fan-made Wiki page to check the lore of the story he's supposed to be writing is never a good sign (and honestly, downright unprofessional and unacceptable)."

So the names of various Nintendo consoles/handhelds (e.g., Super Nintendo, Gamecube, Game Boy) and the Playstation brand somehow give off a non-junior high vibe, even though they sound like gaming devices as much as the Xbox does. Gotcha.

LOL, this conversation reminds me of a Paul Mooney quote during a Chapelle Show sketch:

    Whoa. Necro update.

That reminds me when Nashville (where I reside, btw) got hit by the big flood back in May 2010, and I heard a few comments about that event being OUR Katrina. Uh, no, it wasn't that bad. Yes, the flood did some undeniable damage; enough to prevent our city's biggest mall from re-opening for nearly two years. However,

In all fairness, most "modern warfare" games (mainly the "Call of Duty" ones) don't reference the Middle Eastern conflicts that dominate our headlines too heavily, so it's easier to ignore as fiction. Plus, it's not like military FPS didn't exist before 9/11 happened, or even the current wars. Look how popular SOCOM

I can see that for the first DKC, and the third DKC suffered from sequel-itis, but the second DKC was a very good platformer in its own right. I played that game as much as Yoshi's Island, and loved them equally.

LOL! I was like "he's not going pedobear on us, is he?"

    No, no, no, no, NO.

Huh? Speaking as a mostly Zerg player, this is the most inaccurate statement ever. Terran are extremely flexible and adaptive, much more so than Protoss and Zerg, and don't require as much vespene gas usage either. I kind of suck using Terran, but I get gunned down by decent Terran builds so often, it gets frustrating

Honestly, I never really understood that part. Presumably, older viewers are too savvy to fall for advertising, so they want younger eyes to watch their shows, but thanks to the internet, 20-somethings are more savvy to ads than ever. Plus, piracy. The logic may have worked prior to 2005, but now, it's a crap shoot.

Because one of them airs on a movie channel, and the other airs on a basic network. They're on two completely opposite ends of the TV viewing spectrum. 866K viewers for HBO, though not phenomenal, is considerably better than 1.75 mil viewers on ABC, since the HBO subscription base is far smaller (for obvious reasons).

Maybe you feel that way, but there are plenty of people who've been victimized in some way by those three actions that eventually forgave the perpetrators. Some victims of rape have eventually forgiven their rapists, and family members of murder victims have eventually forgiven the murderers. Admittedly, a lot of that

...or you could stop visiting kotaku if you honestly feel that way, and save your energy on more important matters.

Hell and Hell mode is what you're referring to. At least in DMC4's case (DMC3 and earlier didn't have that difficulty), I found that mode less difficult than DMD. With three gold orbs per checkpoint, and enemy difficulty reflecting Son of Sparda mode (i.e., the hardest difficulty before reaching DMD), it's pretty easy

DMC3 DMD mode was downright sadistic at times. That chess match on level 18...dear god, I replayed that level to death, trying to get through that BS. And that's before you fight like six bosses minimum to open the final door. Also, that repeating room in level 19 can take forever, as well as Vergil's final fight in

I'm not going to deny that the plot was lackluster, but some of my favorite RPGs usually don't soar in the story department. Pokemon and Dark Cloud prove that all you need is a fun, innovative concept, and the gameplay will do the rest of the job.

I guess I should've set a disclaimer, knowing how much FFT fans loathe FFTA (serious, is there ANYONE who enjoyed both games?). Speaking as someone who didn't play FFT first, I thought FFTA was really fun, if overall kind of easy. There's no denying that if most games had its loooooong and boring intro, most people

    Now playing

Honestly, I thought DMC3 did the best job balancing the series' over-the-top elements with a more serious approach to the plot, while establishing Dante and Vergil's backstory and the series' mythology. DMC1 felt more like an excuse plot with some truly hilarious attempts at being dramatic (you know THAT line...THAT
