Not sure how you came to this, since it totally misses the point. This is to do with what the customer wants, and if that customer wants a $6 box, then this has no effect on another customer wanting a cheaper box. 

Sure, more people bought games, but there are only a finite number of people buying games. And the number of people needed to make a game has drastically increased, as has costs. Add corporate profiteering and it’s really not hard to see why extra revenue is needed.

I liked but not loved the previous SR games, but I found the rebooted game to be boring. I played the PSN release for about 5-6 hours before deleting it. What a shame.
