Is it though? A mess I mean?
Is it though? A mess I mean?
Good on her.
While I’m glad people who invested a lot of time in the EU got a squee moment from this, the show could have done a lot better in at least providing an acknowledgement of what was going on.
I mean she established that the identity of the character was going to be a twist, but then didn’t provide any alternatives for who the character might have been. There was only one male character (we knew the sith was male based on his voice and references to “him” and “he”) who had any character development at all…
Wait, they realized that marketing under “HBO,” a brand name that was already well known for putting out good and innovative shows, was better than “Max,” a name which was not just new, but essentially meaningless?
Actually, hell no.
Assange was a tool of Putin and helped get Trump elected.
Remember, it’s Chelsea Manning and Edward Snowden that exposed the government’s amorality. It’s Assange who coordinated with Putin’s team of hackers to disrupt the 2016 election by selectively releasing DNC material, while withholding similar GOP material, and rejecting leaks that would expose the Russian government.

> The structural mystery of “Dot and Bubble” was deliberately designed so that you’d never guess that the real twist of it all was white supremacy.
This season was far less than the sum of its parts
I’m feeling really good about having noped out of Doctor Who prior to the “14th Doctor” series when it became obvious from early announcements that RTD was going to send the show up his own @$$ far enough to see his uvula. Here’s hoping the program gets a decent showrunner again someday.
It was a mess. The best episodes of the season were “Boom”, “Rogue”, and “Dot and Bubble”*.
All the other episodes ranged from alright to WTF. “73 Yards” seems like the kind of thing that’s good, and it probably would have been if this was an anthology SF series, but when you step away from it and look at it in the…
It’s almost like the audience they were pandering to was nowhere near big enough to carry the show.
How to sum it up in a single sentance - aboslute garbage and by far the worst season ever with ratings to prove it
RE>>>>”While The Boys is full of exaggerated characters—beyond the core cast, another big example is the neo-Nazi Stormfront, introduced in season two and played by Aya Cash—”
An obvious case of cultural appropriation that any reasonable person should condemn. Only homophobes should be playing homophobes.
Folks, there are very few, to possibly zero, people who ACTUALLY believe the earth is flat. There are a LOT of people who do want to believe that there are, because it is always fun to think that lots of other people are stupider than you.
Great time to pretend you believe it.
There’s 2 types of flat earthers. The actual nuts who believe it and the one taking advantage of the nuts and profiting from them.
