Duramax in a C8?  Hell yes, me too.

You’re right, but this is pushing dangerously into “supercar” territory where the DCT reigns supreme.

I’m in awe of what they’ve done with the C8, but the rear end is a mess, this coming from a C4 owner that was cool with the C7 taillights.

If it’s priced approximately the same, I’m on board with the change.  If the move to mid-engine takes it way more expensive, I think they should retain a front-engine version at a similar price point to today.

Agreed.  Can you get to highway speeds, from a stop, up a normal on-ramp?  Then you’re pretty much OK, 98% of the time.

COTD!

... That’s because all the hundreds of thousands who died in accidents aren’t here to comment.  Seriously, this is just stupid.  You CANNOT control when you may be hit, and hazard warnings won’t necessarily protect you when you are.

Those are anecdotes. Look at crash test videos, you’d be an idiot to think a car from 2017 isn’t leaps and bounds ahead of one from 1990 in terms of safety.

Seriously, this is like the one idiot who says “Well, I didn’t wear my seatbelt and was flung from the car and didn’t die so I was safer.” Look at statistics.

I agree with you but I never knew the price until now.  $25k MSRP?  $20k after rebates?  You can get a brand new Pacifica for $20k, a vehicle first released in 2017 that seats 7 and performs well in crash tests.  The Journey is a goddamn relic.

Hell, you could get a gently-used first-year i8 for half the cost of the new NSX...

I’d buy a Boxster every day over this but for someone looking for a classic this is great. It’s a unique combination of “the only way the average person could ever get into one” and “isn’t an embarrassingly shitty Fiero-based knockoff of the car you like.” NP.

Pickup Truck & Actual Truck Camper. Take a real bed, kitchen, maybe even a toilet with you!

Then offload the camper for your weekly commute!

“Come to my party... BUT STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM ME!”

I’m in almost the exact same situation, we’ve been blessed with two great renters back-to-back and few expensive repairs, but I feel like it’s a ticking time bomb!

Try shopping for a plug-in hybrid or electric that qualifies for a tax incentive. These motherfuckers are listing them as “$7,500 off MSRP!” and in the small print is the detail that that’s in the form of a tax credit, issued by the government, at the time you file taxes next year, and only if your tax situation has

I mean this thing is probably the closest you can get to a 60s/70s Caddy or Lincoln... I think it’s exactly in like with classic American luxury.

Now you’re just some SUV that I used to know!

reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice can probably answer for you.

QOTD.  Brilliant.
