COTD, without question.

To be fair by the time your Tundra dies there probably won’t be any more gas cars being made!

I’m not one of the normal Tesla haters but man, if I were a shareholder I’d be fuming over this.

Counterpoint — Your scenario is valid for road trips. For the average person whose commute is well within the range of a normal electric car, they leave the house each morning with a “full tank” and the knowledge that they will return home without needing a charge. How often does the average American drive more than

38 year old Volt owner.  A secondhand one is definitely on my radar to replace my Gen 1 Volt in a couple of years, but I think it’ll be a hard sell against the Clarity PHEV.

This whole train of thought is utterly wrong for PHEVs. First, it doesn’t matter if you don’t plug it in as you can still get around. Second, since it’s a PHEV it generally charges much slower than an electric car so hauling the EVSE (“Charger”) with you is usually pointless.

I have a Volt, and before I had a Level 2

Why not both?  300hp, 300 mile range GTI-E (GTE?) please!

Oh please Cadillac bring back the amazing giant convertible cruiser, but in electric or PHEV form!!!

It was a horrendous little car. My Mum had one when I was a kid. It left us stranded on multiple occasions due to clutch cable failure.

But is that $3,750 off $45k or $35k?  Because competitors are flooding the market at the $35k mark prior to greater incentives.

Isn’t it just the K900/Genesis/Equus all over again? (all cars I like, btw).

If this works as promised I think it meets the need.  It’s an electric car so 90% of the time you’re leaving home in the morning fully charged.  Very, very few people drive 400mi with any regularity leaving the 20 minute wait for road trips.  Even at an average 70mph, that’s almost 6 hours between charges, that’s

Point of reference, I’m 6'3" and have a rear-facing Nuna Rava convertible car seat behind the driver’s seat of my 1st-gen Chevy Volt.  While I could probably sit a bit farther back it’s perfectly fine for me.

There’s a threshold required by law to illuminate the brake lights.  “L” mode deceleration doesn't meet that threshold thus they don't illuminate.  It would be like the brake lights coming on when downshifting while decelerating in a manual.

I actually think this somehow looks worse with the front bumpers/light bars removed.

And those wheels are a travesty.

“From where I’m sitting, it looks more like the company just identified what’s popular and is trying to jump on multiple bandwagons as cheaply and efficiently as possible.”

I can’t wait to see how the new DynaFatWideSportGlideBoySter interfaces with the Internet of Things.

Also the new Harley cryptocurrency.

That’s one way to avoid paying rent, I guess!

Rainwater collection works, it’s the disposal of grey/black that needs fixing.

While I enjoy the idea of RVing, after seeing some of those pictures and learning how the interior seatbelts are mounted (in a lot of cases, to plywood alone), I’d never consider a single-box RV any more.  It would have to be a trailer/truck bed mount that is designed and tested for occupant safety.
