This a really good way to put it. I wanted to say something like this but it didn’t gel. The problem is that the checks and balances built into the system don’t work anymore. The managed and the managers are too close together so, third parties, like us normal people have little to no say.

I knew an old time prosecutor from Vegas. He longed for the days when the Mafia was in control. Back in the day when some punk got out of control and robbed a tourist or something he never saw the case. It was taken care of quietly out in the desert.
