Between low sperm count, and the fact that he looks like the kind of dude who would repeatedly stomp a pregnant woman in the stomach with lacrosse cleats... Yeah, there is definetly a reason he doesn’t have kids.

None of which, save for the speed control (which I’ve never encountered a vehicle where it worked on any setting), actually need to interface with the CAN bus. All of those items are self contained within the radio. Backup camera? 12V trigger from the reverse light feed. Auto-dimming radio display? 12V trigger from…
Maybe that’s the problem. The guy is really just one of us. Sure, he’s wealthy, but that really only means he gets to play in a more expensive marque. He loves the vehicle experience more than the ownership image. So car-wise he’s doing the very kind of thing we would do be driving & publicly cherishing them. And…
I’m not arguing why do we use a CAN bus. I’m asking you why a radio needs access to all of that! Binnacle & instrument cluster? Of course. Radio? Why?
So why not just move that chip function onto the Powertrain Control Module, and keep the infotainment system completely independent?
I regret I have but a single star to give you.
It’s like “Son of Black Gold!”
Yup. If you know it wouldn’t be a positive response to just pull your dick out at random, invasive times to harass women with while there in person, how does doing that by proxy with a photograph suddenly make it acceptable?
My father was NOT a car guy. He viewed vehicles as merely transportation to get from point A to point B. In fact, I learned how to wrench on cars from my mother later on. But that lack of enthusiasm was passed onto me. Talk about Mustangs, Corvettes, Lamborghinis, or even monster trucks or 4-wheelers, he wouldn’t see…
Any theory is just that until it is put into practice. Once applied, the results can of course result in outcomes never conceived beforehand. Especially once the practice is forced to interact with factors never previously accounted for.
I hear you, man. I even had this argument with my father in-law. Then he had to confess that his OBD-II scanner has saved him hours of guesswork when performing a repair. Not to mention the fact that his newer cars require far less work than the old 60's & 70's ones he’s owned.
True, but it depends upon the context of things. We’re not complaining about the price of bottled water by offering an asinine solution of drilling a well. Even with OBD-II from the 90's, you could still swap an entire drivetrain so long as you brought the engine harness & computer with it. Because the modules were…
Glad you found them useful. Always happy to pass along whatever info I can.
There is lots of legislation that is either piecemeal, or is incomplete between both state and federal level. Particularly in automotive rules, and more so with engine swaps & emissions controls as an example. And those things normally take care of themselves due to the pitfalls of interstate commerce.
