Don’t kid yourself. He was a key cog in a global drug trafficking ring. He and his team illegally bought, sold, and tranported drugs to and from countries all around the world. If you or I would have been involved in a similar scheme, we’d be in jail. Because he’s an athlete, he gets a pass.

Ferrari would be crazy not to sign him, a top notch driver, person and half Italian. Rumor mill has been leaning that way...but it’s been denied up and down so far. That said, that’s where I think he’ll land.

As far as I know, the pits are never closed during the race except for a few rare instances.

None of which should make a top 5 car finish at the bottom for 2 of 3 races. Should it impact their performance? Absolutely. But not to the degree that it would push you from podium potential to the very back of the pack.

Can’t wait to see Ricciardo truly fight for a title in the Ferrari next year...(or maybe the Merc)

Still perplexed by the Honda. It just doesn’t add up that they had one car at a top 5 pace in Bahrain but god awful in the other two races (and the other car in Bahrain). After the first set of pit stops, Hulkenburg’s Renault drove past a Toro Rosso on the same tires that were only around 2 laps older and it was like

Formula 2 from 2009-2012 (when it stopped) was not the same as GP2. GP2 was named GP2 from 2005 until last year when it switched to the name Formula 2.

Again, the only way Vettel finishes ahead of Kimi is due to the VSC. Pitting earlier or later made no difference in this race but for the random VSC.

I don’t know that pitting later was necessarily the preferred strategy in this race. Mercedes would have not covered Kimi’s stop but rather kept Hamilton out if it were a truly bad move. Lap times were pretty consistent throughout the race so tire wear really had no impact in this one. Had there been no VSC, pitting

Ferrari was never going to beat Mercedes this race unless something strange happened. It did. Kimi pitted on lap 18 which forced Mercedes to cover by pitting Hamilton on the next lap. This allowed Vettel to stay out longer. Pure luck but it gave Vettel the chance to make up time thru a VSC pit stop. If the VSC never

If Ferrari ever want to win the Constructor’s they’ll have to dump him for a consistently competitive driver. There’s a certain half-Italian driver that is out of contract at year’s end that would be a stellar choice. Though Vettel might worry he’d get dominated again like he did the last time they were paired on the

He wasn’t fucked by the team. Kimi, like Hamilton, pitted before the VSC and thus missed the lucky break that Vettel got.

Wow, I think you’re way way out there. NBC had the worst commentary team I’ve ever had the displeasure to listen to IMO.

The fonts used on the overlays made my eyes hurt trying to read what they put up.

NBCSN had good commentators

after seeing what a steaming bowl of misery the 2017 F1 season was for McLaren, they decided to retool the show to focus just on the preseason, when there was at least some hope in Woking.

Very rare but, like anything, athletes “coincidentally” just have a higher occurance than normal humans.

I’m shocked this is news to people. I traveled with a friend last summer that had never left the USA. First thing he did was figure out that you could keep the lights on with any sort of card that could fit in the key slot.

Pretty standard in Europe.

If they add a 2nd GP in the USA it would likely be a street circuit.
