Because the stewards seem to only have considered track position for the first turn entry of the sequence. Insane IMO but their position was essentially because Max was behind starting into the first turn the rest of the sequence is irrelevant.

It was a 50/50 incident, the penalty was over the top. Most every driver or former driver is in agreement. The only ones saying otherwise that I’ve heard are older, British drivers. Johnny Herbert was out of his mind arguing against Felipe Massa and Di Resta. Damon Hill claiming it was intentional is ridiculous for

“Threw the book at him” isn’t a 3 place grid penalty. That’s literally the absolute minimum penalty that is handed out.

With the spending cap now in place, you’ll likely see more people show an interest in joining since spending is no longer unlimited and the lower performing teams are allowed significantly more development time over the better teams under the new rules with a sliding scale for aero testing based on standings.

The cynic in me would suggest she actually popped for something more serious that wouldn’t clear her system in time for the Olympics and so they proactively agreed to this so that she’d get a 1-month ban to conveniently miss the event she’d be expected to compete in and thus would avoid a high profile test failure.

The fact she’s a cheerleader is essential to the story since she posted her comment after being rejected from the varsity cheerleading squad. The picture I can’t speak to but personally don’t find it sexual.

Yeah the data and methodology are faulty. I have never seen, nor would I even know how to find, salsa (as in the Mexican variety) in Spain. However, the word salsa simply means sauce, so I’m sure people in Spain were searching for sauce recipes and they just lumped them all together as Mexican salsa in this wacked out

I’d love to comment on the replay but I posted it and all it got me was booted from the discussion and dropped to the greys.

Probably make a nice direct to video movie.

And you drop me to the greys for posting newsworthy coverage? Wow.

Decent guy but give it a few races...they’ll get tired of him not performing the way they want/expect and drop him for the next test subject.

So we’re just going drop comments that show the video coverage? Shouldn’t we discuss this knowing what happened? Vicious wreck but certainly not graphic footage.

Awful accident. RIP.

It’s almost like someone already figured out all the business logistics for this kind of business, how to pay employees and how to structure fares in order to make a profit. But shit, they weren’t tech bros, they were just a bunch of blue collar nobodies so that doesn’t count.

Because Bottas hasn’t challenged Hamilton in the slightest. He came to the team as a potential championship contender and has shown zero ability to even come close to sniffing that after several years (and no, 62 points back at the summer break isn’t close).

Trump, or perhaps one of his staff, sent a tweet denying the story

?? She’s 25.

That is assuming the “performance upgrades” were actually performance upgrades. To me, they’ve gone through an awful lot of components for everything to be performance related with no tangible improvement shown on track.

Several teams (Williams, Toyota, and Brawn) were aware of the loophole and were working on their own solution so this wasn’t necessarily a situation where only one team figured it out. Though there is some debate as to whether all the teams that implemented it would have cracked the nut without former Honda employees

Only one episode left.
