    Sawzall runs what, $100?

Ehhhhh. A Tacoma TRD Pro, for example, is about 6k cheaper, and while it does lack a front locker, it’s got IFS, which costs more than a solid axle, and it’s massively more refined. The Jeep does come with better (or at least more off road oriented) tires and a few odds and ends, but it’s hard to see where that 6k

I rented a decked out Rubicon Unlimited and road tripped it around Utah last year. When I looked up how expensive the damn thing was I was floored. The off road capabilities were impressive, but the ride, drivetrain, interior, and overall refinement... weren’t. At least not for something that cost $47k.

    Seems legit!

The standards of decorum for the President of the United States of America and an athlete are just a wee bit different.

I’ve owned two e36 M3s (still have one) and owned a 2001.5 S4 Avant 6MT for about 4 years. Sold it earlier this year with 163k on the clock for $6300.

They are not even remotely in the same ballpark of maintenance costs. There’s a reason I still have an e36 and not the B5.

As with so many things, I think that Ta-Nehisi Coates nailed this one:

I’ve got a good one for this.

Yes. They already cowed to the racist crowd when they pulled their advertising from the NFL. This condemnation is just a brand looking out for its bottom line, in recognition of the fact that doing nothing would incur a bigger backlash.

The way this series has gone, I can only assume that the Dodgers are now going to win 15-11 in the 12th. The only fitting end here is something completely bonkers, involving about 10 lead changes.

This has to be the first time ever that someone has declared a marginally functional 2001 Oldsmobile Alero to be too good for literally anything.

This is quite the do as I say, not as I do type situation, coming from you.

The coolant was even better, it straight up didn’t have a drain plug. You just had to pull a radiator hose.

I had a B5 S4, and you could actually do an oil change on that without jacking it up. The drain plug was at the front corner of the pan (and the engine was so far forward in the car that that was basically right behind the bumper, and the filter was at the opposite front corner.

I’ve owned (multiple) BMWs, Audis and Volvos. The Audis and Volvos all used standard self contained units. The BMWs all used a filter that was basically just the filter medium inside an aluminum housing that was a permanent part of the engine, but the cap came off with a normal box wrench. Those are actually the

I don’t watch NASCAR, but if they put in a loopty loop I sure as shit would. Make it happen!

Nope. The manual was available in the US through 2014.

Who the fuck was that even?

I live in a 100 year old house in Seattle proper. This thing wouldn’t even fit down my driveway, much less in my garage. I already have a Tacoma that is more than adequate for my truck needs. I have no idea where I would park it or what I would do with it, but dammed if I don’t want this anyway.

If we guess that it produces peak power at 5,500 rpm, then that’s 351 lb-ft at 5,500 rpm.
