I think the state of the Marvel Comics is that Marvel doesn’t give a fuck. They are making so much money with the movies, they can afford to just let all the expensive talent walk to DC and just tap young, inexperienced writers, hoping one of them will come up with an idea they can include in an upcoming movie, and…

They are trying to recover after a series of bad events and relaunches burned everyone out. A lot of their best talent has left - but they have recruited some new good guys. Bendis leaving was more about him wanting to write DC characters than disliking Marvel.
