Then that would be a strong pro-Android argument for me. Simply installing a different launcher (of which there are quite a few, all trusted and easy to install without needing root) gives you a completely new UI aesthetic, almost a different phone with each one.

Try turning off system restore, setting the page file size to 0 then defragging/optimizing (I'd recommend Auslogics or UltraDefrag). Reboot then follow the steps above to shrink.
