Something to point out that always amazes me that video games never get right: look at just how quiet and controlled the combat is. The soldiers fire short, controlled bursts, no one's just yelling out chaotically and everyone just relies on their training. The rifles don't make big booming noises and there's no fiery

Congrats to everyone, but seriously this week there was no contest. Every time I see Jordan in tears, hugging the PSN trophy I start laughing.

Grandma? Is that you?

Does anyone know the status on that Mechwarrior reboot that was announced a while back? They released that awesome trailer and then nothing.

Actually at many of the bigger bases downrange Friday nights are steak and seafood nights, generally with either lobster tails or crab legs.

Absolutely fantastic.

Well done.

Sooo many layers...

"Positively inspired"? Aww... you're making me blush.

I'm well aware of that. This just feels extra Bay-ified. For example there's a fight in Dubai. 20 bucks says the Burj Khalifa is involved, with some sort of scene featuring rappelling, base jumping or shooting a bad guy out of a window on the top floor.

Sweet Jesus, I feel like I just read a Michael Bay script. Also would it kill them to get some military advisors on this game, that video was basically a Mad Libs of military acronyms and jargon.

As always, Angry Johnny and the Killbillies. I don't think there's a singer out there with more raw emotion in their voice.

The first thing that came to mind.

Excellent.

That's the "War of Northern Aggression" thank you very much.

I saw Time Bandits when I was like 6 or 7. Traumatized me for so long I still haven't actually ever sat back down and watched it, despite the fact that I love Terry Gilliam's other movies.

Now playing

Being recently divorced I seem to be listening to a lot of Angry Johnny and the Killbillies. Whoever girl is the catalyst for his songs, she did a major number on him. Also their punk/bluegrass/rock-a-billy style is awesome.

It's laughably inaccurate on so many levels, from simple minutia like the wrong uniforms for the time period and the like to big picture stuff like the fact that the main characters just drive around Iraq by themselves in a single Humvee having their adventures with no real oversight or accountability.

Ugh... Hurt Locker. What a terrible piece of crap. To this day I will never understand how that movie not only won so many accolades, but also managed to convince so many people that that was what Iraq was like.
