So they’re making the Battlefront game they should have made two years ago - got it.

Now playing

Yup - it’s a remix of the RTJ song they did for the Rubble Kings documentary (which is a great film by the way!):

OK I’ll bite, what facts should I have corrected him on - because the context of the picture is pretty clear to me. Heck, I can even tell you the unit, probably down to the company/battery level, of the two soldiers standing with their backs to the camera in the foreground.

Real talk: his VA Secretary pick was an inspired decision. Shulkin’s an Obama holdover who was brought in after the VA scandal broke to improve things (which he’s been doing, despite what anecdotal narratives may say).

Oh God no - and I’m a Texas voter!

They do come in several different sizes, so my assumption is they threw some tape with his name on it so that they don’t get mixed up.

I spent 13 years on active duty (2x Iraq, 1x Afghanistan), and got out last year. Seeing pictures of Fifth Avenue fuckwits like this playing war tourist eliminates any regret I have about not staying in longer - and makes me feel awful for my friends still in.

Fact.

Currently on my fifth trilogy playthrough (just found out about the Reaper IFF in ME2) and the thing that jumps out to me about ME2 is just how constrained and rushed it is.

I’m in the same boat in regards to horror movies, but still loved this movie. It’s definitely more of a thriller - general intense unease as things get progressively more unsettling, albeit with a jump scare or two for good measure. Much more in the vein of something like Rosemary’s Baby than say a Paranormal

As a big fan of Frank Capra’s WWII documentaries, I can’t say enough about how amazing Let There Be Light is - truly powerful stories of G.I.s returning home with what we’d now call PTSD.

Hey don’t get me wrong, I love me some Mondo, but Stout’s stuff just doesn’t do it for me - muted color collages of the character in the film with lots of red highlights. I get that it’s his style, but I think they’re overly cluttered and the color scheme just clashes visually - and they all look the same.

Normally I go gaga for new Mondo releases - heck I’ve got five Mondo prints hanging in my house with another that I need to frame - but I’m starting loath Tyler Stout’s work at this point. All his posters look the freaking same, and not in a good way, if you ask me.

I still have that comic somewhere! I remember after the amulet was ripped out he ended up on some island or something and fought Venom. Ahhh the 90s...

No spreadsheets or any well-organized records like that, but I do have a binder with a copy of every single character sheet for every D&D character I’ve either played as or DM’ed for over the past 23 years or so. Even all the old-school impromptu sheets done up on a piece of notebook paper during study hall.

“There are 1.5 million Jedi. Period.”

Maybe not. Folks don’t realize how massive Texas’ economy is. Like a quarter trillion dollars in exports alone - and it’s not all oil and cattle either.

Strong job market, inexpensive(ish) housing, lots of great local food/arts/culture. Yeah there’s some bigoted shitheels in the government, but having lived all over this country (nine states and counting!), I can confidently say that bigoted shitheelery is not exclusive to Texas.

When I bought that Jaws poster, my girlfriend told me we’re framing it and hanging it up in the living room - she’s now my fiancee.
