Interestingly enough, my day job now post-Army involves veteran outreach works - and specifically one of my main missions is running an awareness campaign to recognize the service and sacrifice of our women veterans.

Did two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan as a combat photojournalist, and served alongside a ton of awesome women who were absolutely out in combat alongside their male counterparts - despite not being assigned to combat MOS’s.
