Best Christmas I’ve had in a long time. My brother got me two bottles of Moutai Baijiiu - a fancy Chinese liquor that seems really interesting and possibly gross as hell to my Western palate.

As a life-long voter in Virginia’s 7th District, I’m OK with this.

The opinions of all these armchair J-School professors here in the comments are just a delight to read. /s

Obviously you’ve never worked at a newspaper.

Please tell me you’ve seen Landis’ delightful rant “Regarding Clark” addressing those exact issues, right?

Not to mention a lot of the photos are really soft, despite the flash. I dunno, a little underwhelmed by the results, even though I enjoyed the story.

How many Death Start pieces does it come with?

What the fuck is that?

Do you have an International Driver’s Permit or a Japanese license? If not, then car rental is pretty much out of the question. But honestly, driving in Japan is kind of a hassle - especially for tourism purposes (speaking as someone who lived in the Tokyo area for 3+ years).

I would say if you liked the direction Clone Wars went, you’ll like where Rebels goes. The first few episodes are definitely pretty cutesy (it is a kids cartoon after all) but around episode 5 “Empire Day” they start really getting into the mythos of what went on in the period between Revenge of the Sith and New Hope.

Yes - it gets really, really good.

Well aware of that fact - was actually in one of the last brigades to leave. That being said it’s not like we made much of an attempt to renew/extend the SOFA.

Well by 2010 or so, Iraq was actually heading in a pretty decent direction, and the Baathist and Sunni extremists that would become ISIS had been pretty much defeated and driven out of the country. We actually did a really good job at mopping them up at the time, but then left prematurely to fulfill campaign promises.

Oh believe me, I’m well aware - just wrapped up my third deployment back in October.

Yeah, the world could get off its ass and send in troops.

It wasn’t so much staged as it was repeated with a second, larger flag which became the iconic photo later used as the source for the Marine Corps Memorial at Arlington.

Very cool! But she really needs to have a camera on her!

This looks really, really cool, but dammit, don't say things like "Full spectrum, combined arms warfare" and then show just a bunch of dudes running around on the ground.
