The opinions of all these armchair J-School professors here in the comments are just a delight to read. /s

Obviously you’ve never worked at a newspaper.

But there was so much more to it than just them killing his son, it’s a perfect period piece for the end of the Cold War (the film was released in ‘91), with all these military leaders on both sides struggling to come to grips a sudden outbreak of peace.

Please tell me you’ve seen Landis’ delightful rant “Regarding Clark” addressing those exact issues, right?

Not to mention a lot of the photos are really soft, despite the flash. I dunno, a little underwhelmed by the results, even though I enjoyed the story.

I totally felt the same way. That being said, it’s gorgeous to look at at night.

Saw it last night, and yeah, I cried.
