Why are these still anything more than a small, niche market? Am I missing something they do that the smart phone that >80% of the people reading this already own?
This isn’t a slam, I’m really curious why I’d want this instead of using a phone, what am I missing?

May I just compliment you on a very non-political, but still very accurate piece of advice.  It works regardless of if you agree with one side or the other, or if you’re independent.  Think about who you vote for, try to get more of whomever you feel is right in office.   Well done Pace.

Is there any thing for an Android/windows user that works with both Amazon Music and Spotify?  TMM says Amazon is coming, but they’ve said that all summer. 

As someone who’s been ‘attempting’ astro-photography for over 2 years and has less than a handful of what I consider good photos you’re probably better just watching the sky and making memories unless you’re trying to do some time-lapse streaks.

Actually as someone who has this scope, you will be able to see the rings of Saturn as well as the (seasonal) ice caps at the poles of Mars. It’s a great little scope for beginners.

Probably, it’s what I used 4 years ago to set up a USB camera as a camera so my father who lives in Montana could watch his granddaughter in Wisconsin occasionally.

I’m using the MotionEyeOs specifically, it’s insanely small (I have a 2 GB SD card on a RasPi1 with about a gig left over) because it can backup to my NAS and my google drive account.

These are a rebranded set of cameras that are put out under a bunch of different names. You can pull the feed into other devices on your network, or using something like MotionEye on a raspberry pi you can dump it out to a google drive or Dropbox account in case all your equipment is stolen.
