I’ve got to go out on a limb here and say that the 1970 Pininfarina Ferrari Modulo is still relevant designwise, today. It may not be pretty (by way of modern standards) , but it brings many interesting design and engineering aspects to the table, that can be and still are utilized today. I see a low slung cockpit,…
Probably. In my experience, Forza has always felt way less clinical while still feeling like a sim.
Dawg, they were definitely underinflating the balls.
I wonder what it feels like to write for a site like Deadspin. There’s a definite voice to all of the Gawker Media sites, and it’s not exactly a civil one. Snark gets the hits, so the general tone isn’t particularly highbrow. But then, when sites like Deadspin make the occasional foray into “actual journalism”, that…

I blame all ten on Aliens, although not the same Aliens.
Fun piece. Tav, I really wish people would stop claiming your articles are bad advice like they’re performing some sort of public service. We don’t cut people’s hands off for theft anymore; no civilized person should be saying “Good” about a couple of 15-year-olds getting severely injured, no matter the circumstances. Punishment fitting the crime, and…
I hate low mileage cars. It just jacks up the price for no reason other than perception that the car will magically last longer. I find high-mileage to be comforting because it means the owners actually DROVE the car and typically highway mileage which is way easier on things than stop-and-go.
It’s worse with classic…
It looks like someone had 2 hours to draw this, and spent 1:55 on the front end and 5 minutes throwing together misc. vehicle shapes for the rest.
I loved that game. It is a crime that there isn’t a current gen version.
Burnout Revenge is probably my favourite racing game of all time as a consequence of all that glorious carnage.
There’s some debate if the standard story of the stabbing is accurate - it seems like there were a few people who refused to get involved, but also a few that did:
This was expected I guess, sad but expected.
