There is literally no reason NOT to keep your Model 3 for 10 years or more. The car doesn’t wear out. Anyone who runs their cars into the ground might not buy another car unless they break their own rule and just get bored. When I had my Sky some very uninformed person asked me if it was a Vette.

I owned a Sky for about 10 years. Loved the car. Loved it’s looks. There really wasn’t another car in it’s price range that I really wanted. It’s sad to see people throwing it under the bus, but too each their own I suppose.

Yeah if you have to drive for work and drive more than 200 miles a day, a BEV is penally not for you. But if you drive less than that typically then the BEV is your best friend. Very low maintenance and very low fuel costs.

I’ve taken several road trips and have driven for several hours at those speeds. I then get a bite to eat while I charge up. I find I enjoy taking road trips more now than ever.

If your daily average commute is over 200 miles then a BEV isn’t a good choice. I don’t think that use case applies to most people. If you can go out and come back home on a charge*, range only becomes a factor on road trips.

I like Tesla and this is objectively a shitty thing to do. I have to believe that if they sued Tesla (and they should) they would easily win, but would the attorney’s fees be equal to the amount they would have paid for the option in the first place?
