Are you new at this whole science and probability thing?

Well, wait, is the study actually incorrect? Does the author say women are evil or stupid?

From the information presented, he did not make it clear that he wouldn't and he did out her to one of her investors. While we'll likely never know if she knew of that outing, it wouldn't be unreasonable for her to have learned of that action and, from that, one can reasonably assume he would be disposed to doing so

Except that he DID out her, to her colleagues. He told people close to her that didn't know and that she didn't intend to tell.

He outed her to her colleagues while he was "investigating" her background.

Dr.V seems to also have not wanted the fact that her educational background was a sham be brought to light.

Sure, him finding out she was trans was probably inevitable... but why did he have to out her to an investor? That is not ethical journalism. He fucked up not in pursuing her identifying information, but in what he did with it.

This line of thinking is how Gawker as a whole operates. The truth isn't nearly as important as clicks

Ugh, I think you are going to get accused of victim blaming. But I agree with you. The lies were pretty ridiculous.

I both agree and I don't. I don't think we have proof of his intentions, but in the article, he says transophobic things (the chills part) and misgenders the author. Whatever his motivations were, he acted them out in a way that was callous at best. He should be sorry for turning her death into salacious, transphobic

I never got people who insist on hovering over any seat that doesn't have crap on it or looks really sketchy. Aside from people cleaning toilets more than their cell phones, keyboards, or mice (among many, many other things), your butt skin should be more than enough to stop any bacteria from entering your system

I was wondering that myself! We love you Burt!

Really. He made this person lie about so many things, and then he helped them kill themselves.

Ok. Don't lie about your credentials. Don't use your fake credentials to bolster your career and give credence to your inventions. Don't be surprised when you're found out at the end.

If the science credentials are fraudulent, then it doesn't reflect well on the science itself. Also, it's not up to the reporter to get it vetted by trained engineers, it is the inventor's. Which she attempt to circumvent by claiming she was an engineer.

The reporter is clearly the straw that broke the camel's back, but he shouldn't be saddled with the responsibility of her decision to kill herself.

When someone commits fraud (such as making up credentials) and tries to profit off that fraud, they run the risk of having someone look into those credentials.

Doesn't she also have a black son? Or did she return him?
